Reviews for Candywood Wine Cellar in Vienna, OH
Food was outstanding, the wine was good, the atmosphere was amazing. Highly recommend
First time here, want to go back. Had the fish and chips and it was delicious! The blackberry wine was sweet and smooth. The... Buffalo Cauliflower Bites were tangy but not too hot that someone who doesn?t like spicy foods wouldn?t eat them (me. I don?tlike spicy food). The ambiance was on point. The salvaged wood tables were gorgeous! Would love to be able to sit on the patiowhen it gets warmer! Read more
Nancy was a pleasure to work with when we booked our rehearsal dinner at their location. They accommodated our every need and... put on a beautiful dinner. The only thing that could've been better, which may just be a COVID issues, was the service. We hadone poor girl running around for 24 people eating and drinking. The waitress did great, but that's a tall task. Read more
Very nice restaurant that was very comfortable to enjoy a great meal. I had the prime rib French dip and my husband had the... bourbon bacon burger that was very good. The wine was delicious and the service was excellent. Read more
Very good service and food. A bit pricey. Charged $3 for olives in my martini. But all in all very good
Love the atmosphere and food. Never had a bad dish. Service was great.
I'm not sure why this is called a winery. They certainly have wine, but none that I saw is their own. Absolutely wonderful... food unless you are vegetarian, gluten intolerant or just want a few healthier options. Half of our group really didn't eatanything substantial at a recent gathering of about 15 of us. Atmosphere is very nice! Please vary your menu to accommodatefood allergies and healthier lifestyles. There is a lot to like about Candywood but a winecellar/vineyard isn't one of them. This is a relative new eatery, opening... during the pandemic. So the facility is very modern/new. And members of our group had prior good experiences. I checked therating and was uncertain how it got the scores it did. We were one of two customers so seating and service was prompt. Weordered a charcuterie board to share with glasses of some non-descript wine. Two of the group ordered burgers and two 6ozsirloin. The charcuterie board was tasty. The burgers were huge in height. Once everything was piled on they were 8 inches tall.So they could only be eaten by dismantling them or eating with a knife and fork. The burgers came with a ton of fries. Theblackened sirloin was merely grilled, presented atop four fingerling potatoes and 3 small asparagus stalks. My partner likedhers. I didn't care for mine. All in all, Candywood has a way to go. Given the price range there are other more appetizingrestaurants and wine cellars in the area. UPDATE: 10 months later, I found myself back at Candywood. Not by my choice. Nothingmuch had changed or improved. Still overpriced bar food. The venue is nice enough. But the food just isn't worth the price. Read more
