I remember my parents taking me to Long John silver's. It's a nostalgic sweet place. Prices are reasonable today I had lunch... there piece of fish hush puppies french fries and a drink for $5 can't beat that. And the food is good. Today though I thoughtit was salty otherwise the staff is friendly fast if you're looking for a quick bite to eat in between the days busy activities. Read more
Went at lunch to Portland TX KFC/Long John Silvers. Ordered almost $40 worth of food. Went to pay with $100 and was rudely... told they didn't have change. The place was packed. I seriously doubt that they would not have change. Read more

Back in 1977 I helped open this particular LJS and was one of the first employees hired. I've been gone for many years and... returned to visit family. The interior of the restaurant has changed a lot with the cook being behind the scenes in an enclosedkitchen and there is more seating than in the original layout. We use to cook up in front of the restaurant's customers. Timeschange but LJS food is still tasty. Service was friendly and efficient. LJS would do well if they opened a couple of restaurantsin Utah. It's difficult to find fried fish restaurants in that state. Apparently the LJS in Victoria Tx is doing something rightto remain open for 45 years and counting. Good job! ???????? Read more
