We were visiting the island for ten days and on the recommendation of our innkeeper we went to Lobster Barn one day around 3pm. ... They had a table inside that we could sit right away but we wanted one of the 5 tables on the deck. It was a short 20 minuteswait. The place is cute and the views are awesome. The menu offers seafood and non-seafood dishes. My wife being allergic toshellfish, I managed to finish a serving of mussels prepared with coconut curry sauce by myself, delicious! For entree weordered Lobster Roll (Market Price $24) and fish & chips. You can have one or two pieces of fish ($14 or $17) and salad inplace of fries with your fish, which we did. And we ordered onion rings ($8). Everything was delicious! As others have saidthe amount of lobster on the lobster roll was amazing and not just chopped up pieces as you get in other places, but wholeclaws! The service was friendly and attentive. Not a big deal but the printed menu said Mussels were $12 and onion rings $7but we were charged $13 & $8 respectively?!? A must go place if you are visiting the island. Read more
Food is fresh and generous. Service is warm and speedy. The location is lovely, on the pier. Burgers (beef, chicken, veggie)... are on offer if you're not a seafood lover. The chicken burger's sauce was too sweet for us, and the sauce on the lobster rollwas a bit too sweet for us too. Overall, a pleasant experience, but we're not sure we'd go back there again. The best lobster poutine I?ve had on the island and the spicy lobster bacon roll is top notch for a sauce-lover like myself.... Huge chunks of fresh lobster meat! I am drooling looking back at these photos. It was full for inside seating but definitely noregrets with their takeout menu. Read more
Coming from Ontario, we don't get fresh seafood... this was fantastic. To see so much fresh lobster on a lobster roll was... beautiful and tasty. The fish and chips..wow.. no words.. view ..incredible and the service.. loved it! Eat here! Read more
First time visiting the Lobster Barn and I haven't been able to stop thinking about the meal we had. Everything was cooked well... and delicious! Besides the seafood, I highly recommend saving some room for dessert and trying a seasonal dessert. Thestrawberry cheesecake I had was superb. Oh and the mussels were fantastic too. Fantastic foods - Lobster dinner, lobster roll, chowder and mussels were all fabulous!! Very reasonably priced as well. Loved... the atmosphere too! Went for dinner and had to return as soon as they opened the next day for early lunch again! Read more
came here when we visited PEI for the first time, the lobster roll and whole 1.5 lbs lobster were AMAZING. Delicious, sweet and... fresh. The lobster roll was heavenly, the sweet sauce and soft garlic bun really took it over the top. The ceaser salad was alsoincredible but what really stood out was the fresh cut fries, amazing PEI grown potatoes. Staff was friendly and our food cameout in under 15 minutes! If you want fresh high quality seafood, fast and kind service, and a beautiful view for an extremelyaffordable price this is the place to go! Will be back with friend and family this summer. We went there pretty late for lunch and too early for dinner but very accommodating for our group of 7. We ordered crab dip,... mussels (traditional, coconut and 3 spice), lobster rolls, fish tacos and scallops. For dessert had the coconut cheesecake. Ihighly recommend this place because the taste is great and portions very generous. Read more
