Reviews for Varsha Indian Kitchen in Victoria, BC
Only 1 server - girl was doing all the job and kinda going around and serving everyone. Took a little bit longer to get certain... things. Their biryani was good, chicken was ok. Mom's platter had butter chicken- which was not that good. I would rate thisrestaurant as a better option if anyone want to try Indian Cusine Read more
First time visit, food was good considering the fusion concept. Decent portion size for the prices that we paid. Lacking a bit... in service. They messed up one of our orders, and when pointed out they did offer to redo it, however since we did not want tolet the food go waste, we politely declined. You would think, the least they could do is give that entree free or at least givea discount on it, so as not to waste the time and effort in making the order again, this is where the service waslacking. Also, 2 of the beers were not available, and nothing on tap, how do you explain that? Second visit (after about 3months of initial): Food was good and came out in time. But the Masala fries were not very different than the regularfries. Service was good, and on time. I understand the fusion concept, but you never put Coconut flakes in a Mango Lassi, theyjust don't go well with each other, instead consider Almond flakes please. Read more

We ordered Paneer (which comes with a small bowl of rice by default) so we upgraded to have large bowl of rice along with a... butter Naan. Good Environment, nice sitting area and a peaceful place. The only discomfort we had was, the area where we weresitting was little cold for us. There was only one person to serve so little slow process but freshly cooked food, loved thebutter Naan from this place so amazing. Paneer was cooked purely in Tomatoes purring, felt like little bland for my taste. Notmuch crowded which was good (double Vaccination cert requires for dine-in) It Costed us total of around $26.50 along with taxand tips Paneer $15 Butter Naan $7 Sweets/Gulab Jamun Don't remember Not justVegetarian but different non-veg dishes and sea foods are also available here. I was quite surprised to come across a good Indian restaurant in Victoria! We ordered the Chef's platter which included 3 diff... vegetable/chicken curries, butter chicken samosas, vegetable pulao and naan (coconut, garlic butter, cilantro) all for $50. It'sa lot of food for that price, and for a group of 4, we were left with some yummy leftovers, for sure. We also ordered mangolassi with the meal - a must!! The flavors are quite authentic but I wish they could use fresh vegetables instead of frozenones. The servers were warm and welcoming but the service was quite slow - though it's quite a busy night when we went (theywere one of the few restaurants open late on a Tuesday) and due to the pandemic, there weren't much servers around which isunderstandable. The decor was bright and colorful, and it was overall a very pleasant experience. Read more
I ordered thru Skip. The food arrived fast and hot. Was placed into a really cool bag. The butter chicken was perfectly spiced,... the rice was great and the naan was plenty! Delicious dinner, I would definitely recommend! However the Naan balls and chocolatedip were not so great and the rice pudding was soup. Otherwise delicious! Read more
Food was great and nice portions for the money too. They have vegan options as well, which is a big plus. Service is fast, but... not the most attentive. They didn't ask if the meal was okay and several of the alcoholic drinks on the menu seemed to be out ofstock. Read more
