Reviews for The Village in Victoria, BC
The food is absolutely delicious (and you can get soup for breakfast ? can there be anything better?!), the portions are... generous, the prices are affordable, but the best part is the service. The hostess, the waitresses, everybody who served us wassuper sweet, nice and helpful. I had a lot of fun chatting with staff, and I felt really welcomed at the Village. Definitelyworth lining up! Definitely coming back to this place ???? Read more
Met some friends for brunch, arrived a few minutes after them, their food was already served which was fine. But the waitress... brought my bill right after my order was put in, wasn't even curious if I wanted to order more stuff later or after, before mymeal even arrived all my friends were being "kicked out" for being on the table for so long already and they needed to make roomfor other customers. In my humble opinion, you don't kick out paying customers, they were willing to wait for me to eat beforeleaving as well. Rushed service, very few options, good thing I didn't stick around for it... Would not recommend if this placewas the last restaurant in Victoria. Read more

Wonderful food and wonderful service from Yulia. Yulia took her time to visit with us and made sure we were taken well care... of. We were all happy with our food, especially the eggs benedicts. The eggs were perfectly poached, with a runny yoke and verylittle white - which is how I prefer my eggs. If you would like nontraditional eggs Benedict, this is the place. They servethem on latkes (potato pancake, bagel, or over vegetables) We left fully and very happy Read more
Definitely some solid breakfast and I really enjoyed my visit! There menu is massive. The egg Benny?s come in many different... flavours and sides which makes them all unique. Had an excellent latte as well. The thing that made my experience memorable wasthe service. My waiter was extremely friendly and went out of their way to have conversations. The place it?s self is very cozy!Outside the building there is a seating area with heaters, giving people the opportunity to eat with the breeze of fresh air. Iloved everything about this place! Price is on the higher side, but the experience and the tasty food is more than worthit. Taste: Good Presentation: Excellent Service: Excellent Uniqueness: Excellent Atmosphere: Excellent Read more
I loved the ambiance of this restaurant. First off COVID props to this place. A big patio outside, good distance between each... table. They didn't take down personal information but I saw them sanitizing menus which was a big plus for me. The servers werereally nice and attentive. The food came fast and the portions were not bad. The latte was not bad but the biscuit that camewith it was mediocre. We ordered the latkes, traditional eggs Benedict on a bagel with tomato parmesan soup, lox bagel andReuben with potatoes. The latkes came with a side is fruit, sour cream and apple sauce. I love latkes and these were not badbut not the best either. I like my latkes crispier and with more potato shred texture instead of totally blitzed. But that'sjust a personal preference. These latkes went so well with the sour cream. Side note, I really appreciate the different varietyof fruit on the side. There was pineapple, kiwi, grape, watermelon and orange. So much variety! The traditional eggs Benedicton a bagel with a side of soup. I didn't have the soup but I heard it was delicious. The bagel was quite chewy which I liked butit was difficult to cut with a knife. The egg was nicely cooked. I just wish there was more hollandaise sauce. I appreciated theamount of Canadian bacon on the bagel. It wasn't one slice but like multiple slices. Lox bagel - I didn't try it but I heard itwas not bad and there was quite a bit of salmon on top. Reuben - it was okay. Not too salty but not the reuben I was personallylooking for. Nothing memorable. Wouldn't order it again. BUT, the side of potatoes was delicious. Perfectly crispy on theoutside and fluffy on the inside. Would I come back? If I was in Victoria and was looking for a brunch where I didn't need toline up. Yes. If I'm looking for something to blow my socks off then no. BUT I would want to come back and try their strawberrypancakes, because they looked amazing! TIP: order potatoes as the side dish Read more
Went to the village for brunch. Ordered the big Al Benny and the West Coast Benny and shared with a friend. Both were great in... flavours and the poached eggs were a great medium consistency. Everything came out in a timely manner and was fresh. The servicewas lovely. I would defiently go back again and try some other items on the menu. Great brunch spot! Read more
Great food, a nice location, and incredibly friendly staff! My group ended up having two more people than we thought, and they... were extremely accommodating with fitting us in despite it being busy. The food was delicious, with everybody in my groupparticularly loving the latkes. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and all the food is extremely filling as well. Definitelyrecommend, as long as you have a smaller group. Read more
