Reviews for Tapa Bar in Victoria, BC
This gem of a find is located in Trounce Alley and was absolutely buzzing on a Monday evening! They have outdoor, bar and... restaurant seating. The staff are very nice and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The menu encourages tapas style sharing so gowith a group and order many dishes. The mushroom salad was so delicious with a mango vinaigrette but I wish the salad werebigger!! The table next to us had ordered the coconut lime muscles and I wanted to sit with him so badly because it smelled sogood. I also really enjoyed the pizza it was a thin crust and well done. Read more
Not the first time I am going to a tapa bar, the food is really good but I have some notes: - Sangria: add some apples, pears... and soda, it would make it wayyy tastier. - Food: get some meat dishes, drop the tortilla chips and when you make a cevicheplease mixed the “salad” upon order otherwise it gets soggy and mushy… Overall, the flavors were there, the ambience wasgreat and so does the service! My husband and I visited Tapa Bar for the very first time on Sunday, June 26th at 4:30pm. We had originally made a reservation... for 5pm, but arrived early. Because the restaurant wasn't busy, they were able to seat us early, which was great. We wereseated, but then it took over 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by our server and brought waters. I found that unacceptableylong. Overall, the food was good, but the service left much to be desired. Having to wait that initial 10 minutes, I wasn't evensure if we had a server assigned to the section we were in. We received the food quickly, but were missing the chicken wings wehad ordered. When we brought this up with our server she assured us that they were on the way. But, I think that she hadforgotten to ring them in, so they arrived after we had finished the rest of our food. Because they hadn't been rung in untilafter Happy Hour had ended, we had to pay full price, which isn't too big of a deal, just a little annoying. Also, they weren'tthe correct wings, but I didn't realize until after. Overall, the food was really good, but because of the service, I won't beback. Read more

A very cozy place which is perfect for evening when most restaurants are closed in downtown! The food was super delicious, the... service was a bit on slow side as all tables were full and there was a huge lineup. The staff were beyond friendly, they evengave us recommendations for places to visit in town. Read more
I was visiting Victoria with my family including a dog and Kelly made this meal the most wonderful experience during our entire... trip. It was a windy and snowy day and we were looking for a good restaurant that could seat my party including our dog. Patioswere our only option. We were the only party seated outside in 0 degree weather but Kelly made our meal so delightful with swiftservice. She was highly attentive, turned on the heater outside for us, and came to check on us regularly with the mostimpeccable timing. When she noticed it started drizzling she quickly got the kitchen to get our churros started before we evenasked. I highly recommend Tapa Bar if you're looking for a pet friendly restaurant with amazing food and heated patio.Everything we had was delicious. I would highly recommend the happy hour shrimp (gambas) with ajillo sauce. Mussels, wings andthe complimentary focaccia bread were all yummy! Read more
