Reviews for Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Victoria, BC
I am disappointed in customer service. I received my INCOMPLETE order at 5:15. I told the girl in charge (Riya) that the order... was incomplete, to which she rudely and contemptuously assured me that she had given it completely. I mean, In a nutshell, shetreated me like a liar or maybe even a thief. I had to ask her to come out of it and see for herself. My children weresurprised by her attitude. She offered a grudging apology and said it would be ready in 5 minutes. Being 6:00, I decided toask for the order. It turns out they didn't even try to make it. So I had to ask for the money back. How frustrating. Victoria has been characterized by having the best service in BC. Could it be that this franchise, being the only one on theIsland, believes that its clients should accept everything? For my part, it will be the last time here. I emphasize that myconsumption in this place, whether in online orders or to go and eat there, has been three or more per week. I firmly believethat things can happen in a restaurant, but lack of respect and dismissive treatment is unacceptable. I hope that when you hirestaff, you consider that they will be people who will not damage your company's name. I forgot that the potatoes today lookedquite soggy. I mean, they didn't look fresh anywhere. Read more
Me and my friends(a total of 10) friends came to Popeyes to try the famous Spicy Deluxe Chicken sandwiches. We all got... everything in a platter. The staff was super nice and recommended us the pies as well and we loved the strawberry pie. The frieswere amazing. The sandwiches are superb. Coleslaw is the best. Supers hyped to come again. Finally one of the best fried chickenplace in Victoria. Read more
Super popular, lots of people lining up. I came here at 11 AM when they just opened. But still many people were sitting inside... and waiting. Love their mild fried chicken and mashed potato, so nice to have a Popeyes in Greater Victoria. Read more
Great chicken sandwich! This place was hopping - line up of 10 outside the door. The wait for our food wasn't as long as i... thought it would be. Our fam had the mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, chicken tender, fries, onion rings, rice and beans andfinally, the grown-ups had classic chicken sandwiches. The fries were a hit - kids loved them. Chicken tender and nuggets - okbut apparently A&W are better. Also, our kids insist on sweet and sour dipping sauce and that isn't available here. Credit tothe kiddos for trying something new. Onion rings were good. Loved the rice & beans. Chicken sandwiches were delish. Bigchicken portion - really big. Bun was great - warm and soft. Kinda like a brioche bun. The pickles were awesome - just like ifgrandma had pickled some real cucumbers. The restaurant is loud and not big. Seating is tight - i had one cheek of the seatthe whole time. Tables were dirty when we sat down. And ordering was a little challenging - partly because it was our firsttime, partly our server spoke quiet and didn't seem to really know the flavour of their food. That's ok - i look forward totrying the spicy chicken sandwich next time. I'd recommend. Read more
Upon my first visit to Popeye's Louisiana chicken I had to wait in a lineup outside. It didn't take too long and the service was... pretty speedy. I took my order to go and enjoyed myself at home. I picked four meals off the menu and tried all their sidedishes. The coleslaw and the beans and rice were very delightful. The chicken was super crunchy and well cooked. I willdefinitely go back. Expect an outdoor line up of at least 10 people all day until the hype dies down in the next couple of weeks. But great quality... fried chicken, very fresh and crispy. I?m particularly impressed by how the managers and employees responded to the surge inopening demands. Highly recommended! Read more
We ordered a classic chicken burger, two fish and shrimp combos and an pieces combo. Chicken was definitely crunchy not greasy... like other fried chicken place in town. My husband found the chicken burger a little dry but still good for its price. Thechicken combo was a little too salty for our taste. I ordered the mild one but the kids ( 5, 7 , 10yrs old) felt that they werestill too spicy for them. The fish and shrimp combo were also flavoured. I think they are Cajun battered. We had 4 differentsides: mashed potatoes with gravy, Cajun fries, onion rings and coleslaw. The coleslaw was sweet and creamy. The sides weregood. Better to eat them fresh. Overall, I think we would go back for the Chicken burger for sure. They have 5 or 6 sauces tochoose from. Maybe the chicken combo although they are a bit more salty and flavoured. (We will prep more drink next time.)Probably not the fish and shrimp (too spicy for my kids) Read more
