Great little pub for a late afternoon pint. Food was hot. Beer was cold. Service was lovely.
Got sat at exactly 5pm on a Wing Wednesday night at Maude Hunters'. Highlights (just my opinion): Nice little patio... seating Friendly staff Reasonable prices Great flavours for wings on wing night (got Honey Hot) I had the beef dip; it was aregular beef dip, nothing too memorable, could have used a bit more beef closer to the end tips of the sandwich. The fries weresomething I wanted to try, seasoned (which was nice and thoughtful), but unfortunately got a little top salty (and I love mysalt). The wings were really good though, picked Honey Hot, which was a right balance of heat and sweetness (I usually getmedium spice in ethnic restaurants) for me. Husband's chicken burger didn't have too thick of a batter, and reasonable sizewhich looked good. The pickle was a nice touch. Service I really liked, redeemed for the fries and my beef dip- checked in onus, we didn't have to wait too long for beverage refills! Just wanted to quote a response from your manager below "Next time, instead of leaving unhappy enough to write a negative... review, please just inform your server that you aren't happy with your order and they will be more than happy to fix it." Thisis a lie. Instead of bad-mouthing your customers when they take issue with your servers being jerks, maybe try to figure outwhat the issue is so you can correct it. Read more

I think they got that backwards, should of read 1.4 Food? can?t rate, never ordered Table service? can?t rate,... never stayed Greeting upon arrival?0 Walked to the top of the stairs, looked around, pretty empty, servers were at the bar preoccupied so I walked over to an empty table and seated myself and unbeknown to me my mother approached the table and reamed meout for seating myself? really it was not my mother, it was older server of the two. I am coming into have dinner, spend ahundred dollars and I get spoken to like that.. not a chance?. There are to many other pubs that are more deserving of mybusiness .. Needless to say we moved onto The Monkey Tree Pub?. Had a great meal and 5 star service Now given the opportunityto edit this review I can only add that the owners response rates as good as the server ..1 out of 5....and as a fellow said aswe left ,this pub only survives because of its cold beer and wine store downstairs..... Well I've only been to this place a couple of times, most recently for breakfast at lunchtime and it was perfect! It was obvious... the cook cared about what he was putting out. Best breakfast I've ever had in a restaurant and when I got the bill it was $7.50!What? Also inexpensive tasty drinks! Will be back and telling everyone! Read more
The food was reasonable in quality, the portions weren't very large I left hungry for the price I paid. The wait was a half an... hour to get a table. The food was served in a timely fashion. After the food hit the table the service declined substantially.We were left alone a little too long some of our people at the table wanted more drinks. I would go back. It took 25 minutes after being seated ti get service, 15 after to get a drink, and 55 minutes to get our food. When the food got... here, 3/5 of our orders were prepared bad enough to send back, and one order was a salad, but I was given a burger instead. Thepotato soup tasted like a pot of gravy. I used to love Maude?s but something has changed and it is not for the best. One personin our party is genuinely sick now that we got home. Read more
