Reviews for Lido Waterfront Bar & Bistro in Victoria, BC
Gluten Free food is hard to find in beautiful Victoria so I was excited to try Lidos. After walking 45 minutes from my hotel to... collect my pizza, I joyfully strutted back to my room, pie in hand. I blazed past the poor folks standing around at otherestablishments feeling very chuffed with my recent purchase. I should also mention I?ve been camping for a few days and this wasmy first re-entry into civilization with all its culinary delights. I am sure you can image my disappointment when I ploppeddown in my hotel and peeled open the lid to find the smallest most pathetic pizza I?d ever seen. Tiny, wet pizza with rock hardcrust and wilted basil stared back at me. The pizza was so small in fact that it slid to one of the four corners of the box andI almost missed it altogether. I looked for cheese, but none was found. Just sauce. Wet, cold sauce. The fact that they arecharging an extra 3.5 from this rock hard crust is a slap in the face. Beyond annoyed. Read more
This place used to be great years ago, but the current staff spend more time chatting with their friends than actually working.... The result is it takes over an hour to get a single drink. The service is atrocious. This was not a one-time experience, thishas happened three times in a row. Certainly won?t be back. Read more
Delicious food, awesome staff and views! When we went for dinner here, they were short staffed and yet the staff were friendly... and kept things moving. A very enjoyable dinner! Read more
Came to Lido on our pickle pub tour. This was by far one of the best places we went! The food was fresh and Absolutely... delicious. It was like home made out of the kitchen. The drinks were perfectly made. Emily was our waitress and was amazing witha great personality and made sure we had what we needed. I highly recommend this place! The location, the staff, you can?t getany better! Read more
Good friendly and kind servers, nice outdoor seating, and clean toilet. Food overall is good. In my first visit, I ordered... Donair Pizza and it seemed nice. 2nd visit, I brought my family. Ordered the same Pizza but instead of Beef/lamb meat, it hadlots of Liver slices. First 2-3 bites were nice but then as with liver, it became difficult to swallow as it wasn?t appetizinganymore. How come beef-liver is served instead of the meat when the menu states: Beef/Lamb?. It didn?t mention liveranywhere?. We realized only after eating more than half of our pizza and decided to leave without making any fuss? My daughtersordered Sprite but they got Soda water that was bland? we told the server, and they brought another glass with Can-Sprite. Whywasn?t that done earlier? Coke wasn?t too bubbly either as it had way too much ice diluting it too much! Read more
With all the time I've been around downtown Victoria, I never knew about this place. I gave it a try, and I loved it! It's much... quieter than at street level, and has nice views from the patio. The artisan pizza was perfect, the best I've had in a longtime. Read more
