Can't say enough great things about this hotel! Immaculately clean. Roy at the desk was a gem. Dinner in the bar was great with... friendly conversation, and they accommodated us when we said we needed our breakfast to be quick. Great location to visit thestunning Beacon Hill Park. Rooms are small, but that's to be expected for an historic hotel like this. Highly recommend! Read more
Nice old place in the heart of James bay 10 min walk from down town no line up big and roomy ordered a full candaron breakfast... first bite amazing. Unfortunately we experienced an extremely rude waitress that caused us to get up and walk out. After six adults spent $1K... staying at the attached Inn we were harassed from the moment we tried to sit for lunch. Her poor tone and attitude at several ofour party members was crazy considering we were a quiet and respectful group. Everyone in Canada was so nice all week but sheobviously didn?t want our business. I?ve never written a bad review ever - this was most unpleasant. If I could select a zerostar I would. Read more

What a wonderful surprise to find this place right in my hotel! I didn't even have to slip on a jacket. The lox and bagel were... SO good that I literally had it every day. The salmon was so lovely and fresh. The deep-fied crunchy capers were a delightfuladdition with their burst of flavour. The presentation was a visual treat and the staff learned immediately to not even botherwith a menu, remembered the whole wheat bagel and to hold the potatoes! Each day I meant to take a picture but my plate was tooquickly reduced to clean plates and crumbs and there is no photographic record, sadly. Read more
