We ordered takeaway the night we arrived in Victoria. Easy to place phone order. We ordered spring rolls, Sichuan chicken,... beef chow fun and fried rice. Other than spring rolls everything had a fair amount of sugar even though we had orderedeverything extra spicy. They did give us chilli oil but it was not very spicy - more oil with a hint of roasted chillies. Notexceptional Chinese food but acceptable for a quick and convenient pickup. Read more

Always good food. We are treated very well. So nice to eat in and have the food piping hot. Chinese tea is great, and the simple... won ton soup with crunchy water chestnuts and sesame oil is my favorite! Eggplant, Kung pao chicken, Beef Chow fun ricenoodles. Went to Jacks last night, Mothers day. Busy as all get out. Could not believe the take out orders this place pumps out. Even a... line up for a bit to pick up. they had three drivers going full steam. We thought "oh we could be here for awhile". Not thecase. Justin took out drink and food order and was back within 5 mins serving us out egg rolls. A tad greasy but very flavorful.We have BBQ pork chow mien, beef and snow peas and pan fried shrimp. Wow we were very happy. food was hot and fresh. We haveordered in to from here but enjoy going out as well. Jacks is our new "go too place" Justin nailed the service and was superfriendly. We're new to the area and were hoping to find a new regular Chinese. Unfortunately, the food was not what we expected from these... reviews. Veggies in the Buddhist Veg were overcooked, the broccoli was so soft it seemed previously frozen. The hot and soursoup was bland, and the rice was pretty gummy. But we didn't eat much of the meal, because... Worst of all, there was somethingthat looked like entrails in the Buddhist Veg. BC Health authority said it might be bean curd, but I'm very familiar with botheating and preparing bean curd and it was unfortunately not that. It was stretchy, but taut. Ordered take out around 8pm on a Friday, food was ready within 15 minutes. Prices were decent and comparable with other... restaurants in the area. Food was hot and tasted fresh, lots of flavour in all the dishes. This will be our go to Chineserestaurant from now on. Would recommend, try it out! Read more
