This Italian restaurant has a beautiful ambience, with romantic decor, candles and tasteful yet interesting music in the... background. All the food was terrific, even the soup, salad, and bread (which came with a tasty spread), and all is madein-house, including the pasta and desserts, which were delicious??. The service was professional and friendly by all, and ourserver Raimondo was well paced, with a warm and humorous demeanour, but still efficient and attentive. Great experience here last night. While Spaghetti and meatballs isn't on the menu, they obliged and I am so thankful. ... Absolutely delicious! Loved that the sauce was meaty as well. My wife had the basil pesto gnocchi, and this was alsofantastic, although I would struggle to eat it all because it packed such a punch of flavour. The house wine is great, muchbetter than the usual house wine you get elsewhere. The antipasto platter is an amazing presentation, as well. Excellentservice. Read more

Came here for mine and my boyfriend?s 5 year anniversary. We made reservations through the phone and mentioned that we would be... celebrating our anniversary that day. Upon arrival, the host outside greeted us with a friendly, ?happy anniversary?, along withthe host inside, as well as our server. We even got 2 glasses of champagne on the house. We felt very special to say the least.The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, which is rarely experienced these days. I think this place got it's fame because it's one of the longest standing restaurant in Victoria. We came here for my birthday... for the first time, personally speaking, my experience was mediocre. First of, our table felt like it was added on, cuz it'sright by the door and after the statue. Our server was not very attentive either and forgot to bring our wine until we remindedhim. Secondly, the lamp shank and the pasta that we order were both so salty that both me and my partner had to chuck down themeal with water. Lastly, it's the cannoli, the crust was very hard and it was hard to bite down. Maybe I had too high of a hopefor this place, I shall not come back. Read more
Really feels like a little Italy; lots of people, reservation available, music, Italian speaking servers and wonderful general... atmosphere. Opens right at 5pm, so if you reserve for this time, expect to stand outside till 5. Food is delicious, greatserving sizes and filling food. Can cook items to preference, but anything on their menu is delicious. There are space dividersbetween tables making it comfortable, but the dividers also allow for the general atmosphere to continue as they are clear atthe top and have a custom design on the bottom.
