Highly recommend...I had their fried chicken burger which was great. Crispy on the outside, still tender and moist inside, not... oily. I think the picture of a nearly empty plate (too full to finish the fries) tells you what you really need to know. Service was friendly and helpful. Read more
What a lovely place with fantastic staff and great & tasty food. I had the freshly cooked mussels, they were amazing, afterwards... the warm Reuben sandwich which I also enjoyed. The bread pudding was delicious. Read more
After a long absence, it was wonderful to come back to the Heron! The place is even better than before, and the staff are... upbeat, knowledgeable friendly and enhance the dining experience. I've been there a couple of times while in Victoria last week. Great food! Service is really good, but don't expect it to be... fast. You can't rush quality. I will definitely go back someday. Read more
Heron Rock Bistro is a really great place to dine in and enjoy a meal. My wife and I visited from the Edmonton area and we were... very glad that we found this place. If you are not familiar with a certain menu item, it may come as a surprise, so make sureyou know what you are ordering first. I had the reuben sandwich with a house salad, which was spectacular! Visited because of the high rating. Food was okay.my breakfast was good but the calamari wasn't fresh.
Awesome experience. I started with 1/2 dozen oysters and hubby had clam chowder. The starters were just as great as our steak... dinners. Our server Jay rocked it. Definitely coming back. Returning will consist of a Sunday Prime Rib dinner, one day. We'vebeen in Victoria for a few months and seldom dined out but loved this place. Read more
Everything I ordered was NYC quality, no kidding. Hole-in-the wall…don’t let it fool you. They make & bake so many things... in-house it just puts their food over the top. Calamari & Caesar salad were awesome. Oysters were super fresh. Prices werequite reasonable compared to the tourist places downtown. Go here you will not be disappointed! Read more
