Best burger I've had in the area. Friends told us we must drive to Victor to eat there while we are visiting Jackson. So glad... we took their advice. We had the crazy brakeman and asked to split it. We both got a large side of fries. Such a deal for theprice. Delicious!! Read more
Today I had the pleasure of dining at Brakeman?s. It?s a smaller eatery that has about 10 tables. They have a sign on their wall... that says ?This isn?t fast food, its good food as fast as I can make it.? The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The cookwas able to get 5 meals out with different internal temperatures flawlessly. We had Buffalo burgers, hamburgers and sweet potatofries and everything was incredible. Awesome experience! Not just one of our best meals on this vacation, but one of the best dining experiences we have ever had!... Greek salad with chicken plus the burger and fries. Go here if you?re in Victor. It?s hard to find restaurants that serve elk, let alone elk burger. Brakeman American Grill... generally makes awesome burgers and I was impressed how they made a lean, gamey meat taste so unique and delicious. Goodstuff. I believe the Brakeman burger is made with beef, but something about it tasted different - in a good way. Not sure ifit?s because it?s ultra fresh or if it was actually bison meat. Tiny little town, but well worth the stop. There are unique menu items here including elk and bison burgers, but they are best... known for their beef, made fresh daily. Nearby to tourist gift shop and a used sporting goods store, both also great places tostop on the visit. Read more
Not worth the price. Paid $17 and the burger came out well done. And instead of a single 1/2 pound patty, the burger came with 2... stacked 1/4 pound patties making it so tall there was no way to physically take a bite and enjoy the flavors with each bite.Instead, one of the patties ended up falling out and I just ate the individual components with a fork, totally defeating thepurpose of having a burger. The melted cheese was so greasy, I wished I hadn?t gotten cheese. The jalapeños were pickled, froma can, not fresh. Fries were thin, little things. A soda was $3. None of it was a good value. Oh my goodness. That burger so super bomb. The place is small but has a really nice vibe to it. Very trainy. Look at the photo.... Look how big that burger is. But it's also delicious. I had to take one of the burger patties off and eat it by itself. So itwas like two meals. I had the same burger cook as last time and he never fails. This place attracts a nice crowd. This a staple every time we are in the area visiting. We?ve gone just as adults but this past time we took our whole group of... 20+ people including lots of kiddos and had the best time!! Great atmosphere and fun games available for the kids to play as wewaited. They took such great care of us even with such a large group and the food is always amazing. Any of their burgers aretop notch, and even the kids meals were good quality and pretty reasonably priced. Can?t say enough great things! Read more
