We were staying at Rivertown Rose campground and the staff person recommended Toney's. We were not disappointed. The crab legs... were filled with meat. My husband really enjoyed the red snapper and we had the green fried tomatoes as an appetizer. Nowaiting for a table at 4 pm. Read more

Our party of 3 waited about 20 minutes on a Sunday at noon to be seated. In the meantime we watched crawfish being cooked from a... front porch bench and their setup was impressive! We were seated at a table that wasn't wiped down after the last patrons, butoverall the restaurant and restrooms were clean. We stuck to the basics when ordering, and opted for 2 catfish plates, one withmac and chz substituted for fries. The catfish and hush puppies were perfectly cooked and the tartar sauce was a lovelycompliment. We were not big fans of the fries (tasted like they had been frozen a long time) or mac and chz (the pasta was gummyand there wasn't much flavor), but we did see some greens and limas that another table ordered that we would try next time. Thewaitress told us sides are $3 each if you'd like to build a veggie plate. Ketchup comes in small plastic throw-away containersand they will bring more if you ask. Don't say no to the tartar sauce! Parking was easy with the overflow next door at Toney'sliquor store. With the temperatures nearing 100, some fans on the front porch would be nice for people waiting. There were aconsiderable number of older people and it seemed a bit dangerous, especially when the gas fired up for cooking the crawfish. Read more

The atmosphere is great. First appears like a bar but really isn't. Quiet dinner with excellent service. Our drinks never got... empty and even brought us to go drinks. The food was fresh and hot with great flavor. The servers were very friendly. Lady atcheckout could use a refresher course on customer service but otherwise a great experience. Will eat there again Read more

Disappointing based on other reviews. The grilled Red Snapper was flavored well, but very dry and overcooked. Green beans were... mushy and lacking any flavor. The turnip greens were the highlight and amazing. Read more

This is a must stop by and have lunch or dinner. The crawfish looks outstanding. But we had the shrimp Po-boy and a blooming... onion. The house sauce is pretty good. All the decor is really cool. The floors and tables and restrooms was very clean. And thewaitresses was very friendly and nice and on there game. Will definitely be back. It's easy location to find, I might add. Alsohad a great market with plenty of sea food and other ingredients. And ????????. Read more
