Found this gem of a restaurant on Washington St in Vicksburg. The interior is gorgeous with the original walls & floors. We went... for brunch. The lamb was amazing and was so delicious, and we also had the salmon that was cooked to perfection.
In short, the WORST service my wife and I ever experienced. For example, it took them 45 MINUTES to serve us (from being seated... to being served). The waitress never apologizes for misplacing our order. The manager never apologizes for the waitress MISHAP(our misplaced order) and gave MANY excuses instead of taking responsibility for the MISHAP (or was it done intentionally). I amlargely irritated by the fact that four, four customers (who came after us) ordered, eaten, and paid for their meals LONG beforewe were served. I can go on but I think you get my point. Biscuits didn't rise, $12. Too floury, not enough butter; crumbly and hard. Was told it was because the biscuits were "home... made" but they do not look like homemade southern biscuits. Shrimp and grits $18, good. Not enough grits, leaving hungry.Extremely slow service. Probably won't be back, was a really bad first impression. Such a great restaurant! The staff there are very kind and the food was delicious. I can't eat gluten, and they were willing to... modify a lot of the menu. I ended up getting the house salad with chicken on the side. The vegetables were fresh and thedressing was super tasty. Read more
My friend and I had the most wonderful lunch. All the health protocols were followed which made it more relaxing. The service... was excellent as well as the food. I had the half order of Wedge Salad and the Brussels Sprouts, which were my favorite. This isthe type of upscale, locally sourced restaurant Vicksburg has been needing. I was so impressed that I arranged for a Christmasparty lunch. The staff was very accommodating with a few of our personal protocols to protect our members.
