Great BBQ in a family friendly atmosphere. The casual outdoor area is great for families with young kids, AND dog friendly.... Small things that would make it even better 1) paper sheets and crayons for kids to color on, and 2) the wooden fence keepingkids away from the busy road has gaping holes. Staple up some chicken wire so I can stop stressing about the two year oldgetting into the road and focus on more on which beer I want to order next. I will absolutely be back. This place is TERRIFIC! Everything I had was good first beginning to end. I had ribs, brisket, bakd beans, fries and sweet tea.... It was all wonderful! This place is the BEST! Read more
I highly advise against trying to order from this restaurant on Door Dash. They confirmed our order, and then sent several... messages about the order being delayed. When it was too late to order from anywhere else, they cancelled our order. I don'tunderstand why they are even on Door Dash if they're too busy to satisfy the orders. Why confirm the order only to cancel it 2hours later? This has happened to us with this restaurant at least 3 times. We tried ordering take out from them and picking itup twice and both times the orders were extremely later than they told us to pick up the food. When we've eaten in therestaurant, the service is terrible. The food is usually pretty good, but we will never be ordering from or going here again.It's not worth the stress. The experience with service here wasn't better before the pandemic or recession, so I think it's justdue to bad management. Read more
We had a great first experience here tonight. Everything on our plates we were impressed with. The ribs were the best my husband... has ever had, and the wings were the best I?ve had. The mac & cheese, and the potato salad were also phenomenal. The managerRhett was very helpful with recommendations, and showing us around. The whole staff seemed proud to work there and did a greatjob helping guests and keeping the place clean. We will definitely be back & we highly recommend!! Read more
My visit to Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint in AL left me overall confused. The restaurant was clean and the employees were overall... nice. The issues started when I placed my order. On the menu my order was supposed to come with Ribs and Brisket yet it arrivedwith Ribs and Pulled Pork. I spoke with the manager near by and Brisket was brought to the table. I found the Brisket to bevery tasty and juicy albeit containing more fat than most I've tried. The ribs were a let down as they were dry and tough. TheRedneck Taco my wife ordered was decent yet lacked any real flavor so she wound up using one of the sauces that arrived with mymeal. The standout were the sides in both meals which proved to be very good. Near the end of my meal I noticed on my receiptthat I was charged for Tap Water. I inquired with the same manager who stated the restaurant does not charge for Tap Water andthe issue was quickly remedied. Skip it and go somewhere else. My fiancés food came out 10 minutes before mine and was such a small portion we had to go... somewhere else afterwards. My baked potato was small and sad plus had a piece of plastic in it. BBQ is good, service was okay,portions are small for the price. Read more
Solid choice. Their pork plate comes without BBQ sauce on the meat which was strange, so I had to request some sauce to put on... it. Their vinegar BBQ sauce was delicious once applied. Really enjoyed their beans which were sweet and spicy. Read more
I too struggle with rating this establishment. I was a 1st time customer, and I usually make that known in hopes of giving them... their time to shine. I must say for the amount of money I spent it really wasn't worth it. I ordered the full slab which comeswith 3 sides. The meat was burnt and not tender at all. They were also quite small for a full slab. There was barely any meat onthe bones. The sides were good, however with a full slab of ribs you get sides that are barely portioned for 2 people. Thebroccoli salad was a bit on the dry side, but baked beans and green beans were ok. I am really disappointed considering that Iwas advised to try it, and I drove all the way across town. I am being generous with giving 3 stars ????. Just FYI......pleaseserve your customers quality meat....nothing burned. Everything is expensive, and if people choose to spend their hard earnedmoney at your restaurant I think that in itself should be worth something ??????????? Read more
