First time I ate at Zafem Restaurant was November 202I. I had the fried turkey with black rice diner which I think was... delicious . I made it known to the owner how good the food was so She asked me to write a review about my experience . Ijokingly told her I will write a review until I tried all the other dishes in the menu - hoping that she would offer me totaste a lil bit of everything but that didn?t happen. However I still visit at least 5 times a month; sometimes I evendoordashed my orders for convenience. Nine months later, Today I finally get to try all the dishes and here I am writing thereview as I promised. ZAfem Restaurant is a great eatery ; A creole atmosphere which complement the scent and taste of theCaribbean cuisine. Great spot where you can sit and enjoy your meal with flat screen TVs hanging on the walls at every angle. It is one of those secret spots where you?d take someone special to. Food is always consistent and that is the main reason Iwould recommend this restaurant to anybody who love Haitian food. The staff is real friendly and laid back (not your typicalgrumpy and stuck up Haitian restaurant staff). They have Great customer service. If you are a ?big eater? you might bedisappointed with the food portion. At first It used to be an issue for me. But After numerous visits and notice the foodquality, consistency, their cleanliness, the legendary customer service I can no longer complain about their portion. If you renot satisfied with the portion, there?s a Chinese buffet down the road and I think it?s like $13.99 . You get what you paidfor! Read more
food is decent, but honestly i feel as this place is a rip off! i ordered on doordash one time received wrong order but i didn?t... make it a big deal. so next time i supported this establishment i went to go get the food myself and their food portions for theamount that you pay is ridiculous. i don?t mind paying the prices cause i love to support my people. however customer service &food portions need to be worked on. Everything was SO good! I wished we were even hungrier when we arrived. We brought our three small children who are picky eaters... although they were very hungry after a day at the beach. We figured they could eat rice if they didn?t like anything else. Myhusband, also hungry, ordered nearly the whole dinner menu. Each item included salad, rice and plantains. The salad was actuallypretty good, fresh and a verity of veggies, although they only had packaged dressings, no oil and vinegar. It was better thanaverage for an included side salad and quite big. We did not need the extra side of plantains we ordered but they made a greathotel snack for later! I have celiacs disease and we were assured that everything was gluten free. So far, so good. None of thefried meats are breaded. It was all so, so good. Even my picky kids tried a little bit of everything. The fried chicken wastheir favorite. The oxtail was my husband?s and my favorite. The pork and turkey were also very good. We knew we were in theright place when most of the other patrons seemed to be regulars who ordered food at the counter. I had the opportunity of trying this wonderful spot while in Vero. I?m always looking for restaurants that serve great Caribbean... food? and they delivered. I order the bouillon?and fried snapper with rice and beans. Two side of acras. Everything wasdelicious. The pikliz was amazing. I will definitely return and recommend! Read more

The food & drinks are amazing! The inside is very big and clean. Great place to sit down and eat.
