Beats any other big brand fried chicken restaurants bar far. When in town we always make it a point to visit and grab a meal.... This place has been around a very long time, it's nice to know that some things don't change, I'm surprised Vero hasn't made ita historical place as long as Maryland Fried has been around. After hearing how delicious this fried chicken was, I just had to try it while in Florida visiting my mum. Unfortunately, I was... disappointed. The chicken was indeed crusted with a thick enough crispy coating, however, the spice was definitely lacking inboth the crust and the chicken itself. I ordered the 3 piece, which included a wing, thigh and breast, two small sides (greenbeans and potato salad) a dinner roll and a large sweet tea. The prices are very reasonable for the quantity of food youreceive. The beans were under-flavored and the potato salad was good. The sweet tea ( from scratch) was DELICIOUS!! Best I'vehad since being in Florida on visit. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a cafeteria. Our cashier was kind and friendly, whichdefinitely made the experience way better. The tables were dirty in the dining room and I ended up wiping them down myselfbefore eating. This would be a good quick lunch or snack option. I think a deviation from the recipe to add for additional spicein the chicken would do wonders for the flavor. Read more
