Located in the Riverside Medical Center on the top floor near the drop off circle facing 37th ST. I suggest parking by the... circle or you can park under the building and up the stairs. Total of 7 tables inside and several out in front under theconcourse roof. Popular spot for area medical office and lab staff. We tried the Farmhouse Skillet (loaded with flavor andlove the biscuit which had the right amount of moisture) Buttermilk Chicken (large cutlet - no bones, fried to golden brown),and Reuben (wow great rye bread). Good portions and everything tasted great. Homecooked/homestyle food. Friendly efficientstaff. Great find in Vero Beach. Read more

A little hard to find but worth the search. We had already taken a few bites before I snapped the pics. My avocado toast was... great! Ordered it w a scrambled egg instead of fried as on the menu. Wonderful bread, perfectly ripe avocado. Sunflower seeds. Irequested salsa on the side since I thought it might be too hot for me but it was perfect. My husbands eggs Benedict were ? thebest he?s had since he?s been in Florida ?. Need I say more? Read more

Finally tried this place and so glad I did. Had the deep fried flounder with gouda cheese grits. Served with sausage, peppers,... onions and tomatoes with a tomato sauce and lobster cream sauce. When I was told they made their own biscuits I had to try one.Too much food for this big guy, but so glad I made the attempt! Will return to try the creme brulee French toast. Check it out! A family member had a procedure at the hospital this morning, so after I knew that all went well, I left to get a quick... breakfast. I was going to go to TooJays, but as I headed toward Indian River Drive, I saw the sign for Grit Scratch Kitchen, and I thought I would try a local family owned business instead. I had a wonderful breakfast, including a veggie & cheeseomelette, English muffin, home fries, and salsa. Yum! It was delicious! Delivered hot and fresh. The two servers were veryfriendly and helpful. The ambience was great and the music selection excellent. In the immortal words of the Terminator: I?llbe back! Read more
