Reviews for Phoenix Steakhouse in Vernon, BC
Regrettably, underwhemling on our thursday night visit. We arrived bit early for reservation and were offered a seat at the bar... till our table was ready for drinks with "Vernons best bartender". Drinks were ok, watermelon margarita was one of the specials. Most of the fun sitting at the bar (we were the only seats) is friendly banter with the bartender or even a bit of a show towatch while slinging bottles and mixin, even when they are busy. Not today Appetizers were ok , no great flavors from eitherthe calamari or the cheese soaked escargot. Dinner was hosted by a very friendly server and her service was the high point.Steak and lobster, steak ok, lobster dried out, warm clarified butter was sent back for more lukewarm. All mains lacked a flavorwe were looking forward to. Givin some of the reviews and recommendations from locals. All the meals were just ordinary, bourbonmushroom sirloin, Madagascar pepper striploin, seafood spaghettini. No desert tried Nice space on the patio, no views but doneup nicly. Service for dinner well done, bar service needed some help on our visit. Not a cheap dinner out at well over $400.00for 4. We were hoping for more, maybe tough to get back for a second try.......... The outside seating is very cute. Nice staff. The mussels were a little bland but good otherwise. The cauliflower steak was a... good vegetarian option. Read more

Sooo good! Went on a whim for a nice dinner. Didn't have a reservation so had to sit at the bar but it was still a lovely... experience. The atmosphere was great, it was so nice that the tv's were off, and it was classy and relaxed. Had an amazing ginand sparkling wine cocktail. The bartender was attentive and friendly but not intrusive. We got the stuffed mini yorkies as anappetizer and felt that these were the best we had ever had. I had the Hunter Chicken and my husband had the Burger (on HappyHour deal) and they were both delicious. Then we ended off with a creme brulle and a crunch bar dessert. Everything wassatisfying, delightful, and scrumptious. I definitely recommend Phoenix Steakhouse, and we will for sure be back! Read more
When my eldest daughter came to visit me from Alberta I wanted to take her to a fine restaurant, but I had no idea which one.... First I had to decide what type of cuisine I wanted, and obviously ended up opting for steak. Naturally, like many others, Ichecked out the reviews first. There was enough positive feedback to convince me that Phoenix was worth checking out. I amcertainly glad I did. My daughter and I had a wonderful time. Warm and welcoming decor, relaxing atmosphere, friendly andefficient staff, mouth-watering food and reasonable prices. (I'm getting hungry again just at the memory lol). Steak wasincredibly tender, baked potato delicious, appetizers superb, fine wine... Thank you Phoenix owner and staff, a memorableevening indeed! Read more
We dropped in here randomly on a downtown walk getting familiar with our new home town of Vernon. It was a good idea. The... Madagascar Peppercorn steak was great. I ordered it medium and it was a bit overcooked for my preference but was forgivable asmy partners was also very consistent with my own. I'd suggest ordering Medium Rare. More of a cocktail then a craft beer place. Read more
