We came to this place after talking to some people. We told them it was our anniversary they reserved a very nice spot and... create on the window a very nice decor to make us feel at home. The food was excellent and my wife really like the wine. Wesplit everything as we were not that hungry but the taste was excellent. We got married a few days before and stayed at sparkling hill but decided to drive to Vernon and dine at this restaurant. we... actually made a reservation in their private dining Wine cellar space which was amazing!!!! The staff from the moment you walkin are super nice and very attentive. They truly made our night incredible. They even put out a little congratulations sign forus. The food was also delicious!! The food was very good however after receiving our drinks and appetizers quite quickly, we had to wait what seemed like an... eternity (30+ minutes) for our entrees. They limit you to 2 hours because they are busy and I actually joked with my brotherthat I hoped they wouldn't kick us out mid meal if we exceeded the 2 hours. By the time all was said and done, we were out in1hr and 58mins (whew) ????. Slow service seems par for the course in Vernon though. The day before we went for brunch(excellent!) and also waited 30+ minutes for our food. If you have the time and don't mind waiting while your tummy grumbles,the food is worth it. Read more

Cannot say enough positive things about our experience here. Every person that we came in contact with was so friendly and... accomodating. It made a rough day of traveling a very positive experience. They went over and above in every way from a lastminute reservation change due to a delayed flight to special help with my infant for his diaper changing needs. They had a highchair available and were very friendly from the moment we walked in the door. The food was delicious. We tried the hummus, ribeye, chicken Oscar and halibut. They even took our photo on the way out which was a very nice touch. I highly recommend thisrestaurant. I will absolutely be back next time we are in the area. This restaurant goes above and beyond expectations. We went as a group of three at 6:30pm on a Sunday as we misunderstood the... wait list???? Despite our mistake, the host and hostess tried their very best to get us a table and offered their earliest openspot at 7:30pm. We agreed and came back to find that we were in the beautiful wine cellar (which is a one table private room!)To say the least, we had an amazing experience at Intermezzo thanks to the staff’s hard work. You can really see thatthey’re putting in the effort to make your experience the very best that it can be. The hostess even took photos for us insidethe room and outside as well! I ordered the Spanish Saffron Coconut Cream (without cheese to make it vegan) and the ChocolateDecadence (also vegan) for dessert and highly recommend both. We would love to give 6 stars if possible. Oh my God what a lovely evening. Service from all the staff was incredible,... especially Sascha.. What a delight, fun, outgoing, knowledgeable and super fun. But let’s talk about food! Wow, we were aparty of 8 and we were all blown away by the quality of the food. Every single item was cooked to perfection, super tasty and onpoint. We all enjoyed ourselves so much and we will be back for sure for more deliciousness and of course the lovely ambiance. Read more

I wish I could give more stars based on how lovely the hostess (I would guess she was the owner) was! When we made the... reservation, the restaurant had asked us if it was a special occasion, and we had mentioned that we were staying at SparklingHills resort. The hostess took great care to mention that detail when she greeted us— nice personal touch. Ambiance of theinterior was very dim— it would have been impossible to spot hair in my food. Jokes aside, it was perfectly average…nothingreally caught my eye or made a memorable impression. On to the food. When our Mediterranean Mussels & Prawns arrived pipinghot to our table in a pot, I was most excited. I could have done without the cream in the sauce— both sauce options had cream,so I chose the option that appeared to have less cream. Great flavours, however, by the time we got to the bottom of the pot, Icould feel the heaviness of the cream settling in. The honey goat cheese salad was everything it promised to be! Sweet, tangyand crunchy pecans! Delightful. My dinner date and I shared everything— we split the carribean halibut for our entree, whenit finally managed to make its way to the table. I would guess the wait between appetizers and entree to be 30 Minutes from thetime our main was fired and arrived to our table. Plating looked promising and I was excited to dive in. Fish was nicely cooked,but lacked seasoning. The proportion of risotto was very generous— I would say too generous given the rich nature of the dish.Flavour of the risotto was nice, but the heaviness of it sat like a ton of bricks in my stomach and really left me with nomemory of the fish. Unfortunately the slow down in service towards the latter half of our meal meant it cut into our spatime. May have to come back just for appies & wine on a sunny day.
