I called because my family wanted to eat Mr. Smith's Chester's chicken. I called it 5:45 PM and they close at 6:30 PM. They told... me they had already washed the chicken friar and refused to make chicken for me and my family. Awful service. Read more

We came from out of state to go to a University of South Dakota football game. When looking for a local place for lunch, we read... the reviews and decided to try out Mr. Smith?s. Wow! The service was good, prices were reasonable, and the sandwiches wereamazingly delicious! Don?t let it being inside a hardware store keep you from trying it?you will not be disappointed. Read more

For a bakery/ sandwich shop in a hardware store, it is incredible. The bread is recommended by Oprah!

This place has the best sandwiches! Everything is cooked and sliced fresh. Totally customizable, lots of options, and you get... get it hot or cold. I always make sure I stop when I'm in Vermillion. It never takes long either, so it's great if you'relooking for a quick meal. Read more

There's a bit of a history to this restaurant. It opened in 2002 replacing a terrible fried chicken establishment in the same... space. At that time the location was adjacent to the Jones food center grocery store and the hardware store. When Walmart cameto town the grocery store closed and the hardware store filled that space. However they l the owners left the restaurant intact. So that's how a sandwich and breakfast shop came to be right in the middle of a hardware store. Good sandwiches salads andbreakfast! Read more

I purchased a gyro with spinach wrap, and was told that there would be the usual feta and tzatziki sauce.. I added mushrooms,... cucumbers and spinach. When I arrived home and unwrapped it, there was no feta, no sauce, just a dry wrap! When I called, there was no offer to refund or help me in any way. I live 20 miles away, and purposely went there to purchase some bread; Iprobably will not be doing that anytime soon. Read more
