I used to live in Ventura but now I'm landlocked in Boulder. I had the bittersweet experience of visiting California to see a... dying friend. Closure is good. Seaward Sushi was an old haunt 18 years ago and I have to say it seems even BETTER than it usedto be. Fresh, tasty, amazing food. Yes that's 5 stars I left. Great food. But not great service. Be prepared to be as sweaty as the staff in the sardine can they call a restaurant because... there's no AC. Order a beer and it might be cold, or it might have come directly off a shelf in the shed, it's a gamble. Foodtakes a while so I hope you drank plenty of water so you don't get heat stroke while you wait. Read more
Great service and sushi!! I had the county line roll and they added salmon to the roll for me! It was great!!! My husband had... the dynamite roll with lobster and really enjoyed it!!! Quality is off the hook (no pun intended)! Gabriel has a quality establishment. I have been looking forward to checking this... place out for years and it's worth checking out for sure. They are a local spot. I'm positive that they will take care of youand... make sure to be super kind to the staff. They work really hard over there. Seward sushi is our new favorite spot! We went in there because they were one of the few places still open and they had the... highest rating on Yelp. Wasn't sure what to expect but it was apparent as soon as we got there how great the hostess was atattending our table and making sure we were comfortable. Our party of four ordered several rolls, but I must say anybody goinghere needs to try the Santa Paula roll! I've been to every sushi restaurant in Ventura county about, and I must say this placeblows them all out of the water! Be sure to pair your meal with the garlic edamame! The food is pretty good but don?t go here unless you want to wait at least an hour and a half for food and then it still comes... out slowly. Also the service is sub-par and sake is served Luke warm. They need more cooks in the kitchen or something! Secondtime we?ve tried but I can?t say we?ll be back. Read more
