on the western end of main street, stopping by paradise pantry provided a very welcome retreat where details matter and high... quality raw materials are put to use. we enjoyed a delicious egg-heavy breakfast with savoury finishing touches of fresh herbsand caramelized onions. dining was outside, leisurely-paced thanks to friendly and attentive service. we bought cheese and wineinside the shop afterwards and would most certainly return to the pantry on the next visit to ventura. Nice presentation of food and dessert. mac and cheese was crispy top, good chewy macaroni, truffle was strong enough and cheese... was rich strong. Cream brulee was crispy sweet on top but somewhat too cold cream. Vanila beans were very tasteful. Prettypresentation is plus. Only wish is the service to be a little better. Read more

I refer to Paradise Pantry as a French deli/cafe. It has outdoor seating on Main St, which is now blocked off for pedestrians... only, no cars allowed. This was our first visit. I didn?t know what a lot of the items were on the menu, but we tried the SantaBarbara Smokehouse Salmon. We made sandwiches out of it. If came with 2 slices of large toast, butter type cheese spread, sweetpickle slices that were delicious, and several thin slices of smoked salmon with herbs. We added the passion fruit iced tea. Ihave to admit it may have been the most delicious sandwich I?ve ever had. It was fairly busy. I definitely recommend it. Servicewas great. Read more
