You get what you pay for at KFC, sometimes it?s really great, other times is not so great. Today at lunch the chicken seemed... like a combination of over fried and old/sitting under hot lamp. They always do have good deals at KFC though, today I think Igot a 2 piece combo box for $7.99 came with a drink, 2 sides, a biscuit, a leg and thigh, You can?t beat that. Thankfully noline in the drive through since I was on my lunch break and running out of time to get back. Staff was polite and got me myorder and sauces promptly. Not somewhere I?d recommend eating all the time, but here and there it?s a nice spot for some lunchor dinner. Read more

As you know, I very rarely post a negative review for any business. But I've never experienced anything like this before (and... hope to never experience it again). Sunday, August 14, 2022 While visiting our family and friends in California, we didn't feellike cooking and wanted something easy and nearby. We chose KFC outlet (#1478) located at 3553 Telegraph Road, Ventura CA. Iwent through the drive-thru and ordered a original recipe 12-piece chicken meal. As often happens, it was somewhat difficult tohear the employee who was taking my order (the tiny speaker near the outside menu wasn't loud enough to compete with the noiseof the nearby traffic). However, I did manage to hear her say that they "could not fill the entire order with the originalrecipe because they had none." When I asked how long it would take before more of the original recipe would be ready, shereplied "20 minutes." I didn't feel like waiting that long so I said she could fill the rest of the order with the "extra crispyrecipe." I pulled forward and when the employee came to the window I gave her my credit card. When she handed it back to me, Ilooked at the receipt and was surprised to see it was $40.72. I couldn't ever remember paying that much for KFC chicken beforeand I asked the young lady if that was correct. Without any explanation or help, she tersely replied, "it was." A "manager"then appeared and I explained that I didn't know the 12-piece meal was that expensive, and therefore would she please void thetransaction. I was surprised when she immediately said, ?I can?t refund your order." I asked her why not, and she said (and I'mnot kidding here): "You knew what you ordered and what it cost when you ordered and you'll have to pay for it." She refused tovoid or refund my payment of $40.72 and finally shut the window in my face. This store was understaffed, they shutdown the Lobby. They are not Aspergers friendly. They don't care if you don't have a... vehicle. You will not get served, unless you pay with the app. The app charged me 2 times for the same meal. The otherdrivers where upset because I and another person where trying to place our order. All they care about is what corporate hasto say and not about their disadvantaged customers. Read more

Quality has really went down hill. The employees are rude and could show it any better. Also, they will allow you to come in the... store if you have ordered online, but can?t make an order to go at all. They went the app route to have less interaction withpeople. The staff couldn't handle the minimal amount of people who soon piled up waiting in line. It took over 5 minutes for someone to... come to the register and we were the only ones there for a little bit.. the seating is nice.. but was neglected to be cleanedup. I would only come back to this KFC for its "convenience", and the fact that I enjoy their $5 fill up. Read more
