Friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price. Got the butter chicken burrito with garlic naan and that thing is (1)... delicious and (2) huge. Samosas were also great. Definitely a little hole in the wall kinda place. Super good and we plan onreturning. Read more

This Indian restaurant is a must try, because it is simple and sticks with the basics and does them well! I ordered the 2 curry... combo which comes with rice and a plain naan which was around $20. I chose Paneer Tikka Masala and Saag Paneer. The Paneer Tikkawas flavored well, I just wish we could have added some spice to taste. The Saag Paneer was well prepared although the paneerwas just added on top rather than being mixed in. The plain naan was excellent - it was freshly prepared and perfectly fluffyand soft but crispy at the same time. I would highly recommend this for a less formal style Indian meal. Read more

It was between 3 and 4 stars so I rounded up because they have gluten free items. The restaurant is cute and priced in the lower... range for Ventura. There were some vegetarian options but I did not try them. I am celiac and did fine with the chicken tikimasala. My husband had the lamb curry. We thought that they had a nice level of spice but not a lot of taste. We are pretty hardon our restaurants because we rarely eat out and want to crave the food for the next few days. We have had 4 different tikiMasala since we moved to SoCal and have not been impressed with any of them. We felt that this one was OK. We will keep thesearch going. If you go to Denver we highly recommend Yak and Yetti, the ones in Arvada and Westminster. The bathroom wasdirty. It had a thick layer of dust on the sink and the toilet was dirty. There was a dog inside the restaurant laying downwhile the owners ate. It was well behaved and we love dogs but we always eat on a patio with ours. I am not sure how sanitary itis to have them inside. The kitchen is open for everyone to see the cook making the food. The kitchen looked clean. Overall, wewould go back but would most likely go to Rice by Mama's for our curry. Read more

This place is seriously a gem! The staff is always friendly and the owner is always kind and helpful. You can tell that he... really loves doing what he?s doing! The food is amazing - we usually get either a bowl (comes with rice & one entree) or a plate(rice and two entrees). We?ve never had anything here that was lacking flavor and the way they?ve spruced up the placethroughout the years has been fun to watch. Hands down it?s the best Indian food we?ve eaten in Ventura county. It?s a must stopkind of place when we?re looking for dinner in Ventura. Read more

Little small Indian restaurant located in Ventura. Restaurant is run?d as a fast food place and most curry is pre-made. As an... Indian fast food place, this is a good place for it. Staff provides you with samples of different curries, this is nice if youdon?t know what type of curry you like. I decided to go for the spiciest one they had, they did offer to make a spicier one forme if it wasn?t spicy enough. I also went for their kheer, this dessert reminded me of a watered Mexican arroz de leche, it wasto say the least, delicious. Their garlic naan was just alright for me, it could have been a little bigger. Overall, portionswere big and filling. Prices are fast food based and therefore affordable. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Staff?????????? Atmosphere ???? Cleanliness ???? Price Point ?????????? Food ?????????? Read more
