Came to tour downtown ventura and stumbled upon this nice little gem. I had the rigotani and meat balls, it was absolutely... amazing. The owner came out and brought us our food and explained it was inspired from a Napili Italy. This was was by far thebest Italian food me and my wife have ever had! The staff and owner where very welcoming and we really enjoyed out time there.If you are near Ventura give the immigrants son a visit you will not regret it!! ???????????? Read more
We love coming here when walking downtown for a breakfast or bunch. Warning that they can get very busy and almost always have a... line to get in - but it?s worth the wait! If the line is only 6-10 people it?s worth the wait and moves quickly. All of theirbreakfast items are delicious and fresh. Their coffee menu is great as well. Not inexpensive but worth the money for a nicebrunch. Has a tiny amount of inside seating and a dozen or so outside seats. They are starting. A dinner menu as well! Update05/13/22 - their dinner rate at great, not inexpensive but not too pricy considering the quality. We paid ~ 140 after tax/tipfor 3 entrees, 3 cocktails, and a shared dessert. Read more
Quick Summary Great food, impeccable service, and wonderful decor. Expect a line on weekends as their service is... excellent. Food- 4.5 stars Green juice- started out with a green juice. Did enjoy how they offered this option and it wasdelicious and fresh! French omelet- this was very good. Great balance of flavors and all the ingredients tasted fresh and donevery well. Croissant sandwich- this was good, but I wish I asked for a side of bacon or some sort of meat to add. The eggs andbrie were very good, and the croissant was very buttery, but it needed something extra (whether that was bacon or sausage) toreally balance everything out Service- 5 stars Service was superb. The host, the waiter, the server. Everyone is super friendlyand helpful throughout. It was also a great ambiance with their indoor patio option. 2-21-22-Have been back here many times, but today was great as we could sit inside. And they have added items to their menu,... which we tried. The food was outstanding, service impeccable, and we will return. Honestly, have never had anything I didn'tenjoy here and would love to have one of everything, most of the time. Start of Covid 2020- Absolutely outstanding food! Hadbreakfast here for the first time and I have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised. We decided Ventura is finally gettingsome great places for food. I love the outside seating so I truly hope the powers that be in the city offices decide to keep itthat way. But lets talk about the food. One friend had the breakfast lasagna. We all had a taste. It was decadent, not toorich, but a flavor explosion of delectable sauce, wonderful vegetables and just an overall satisfying dish. Next dish was theJodie omelette, filled with prosciutto, mushrooms and brie cheese. Most places make their omelettes so large you have to takeit to go, waste it or share it. This one was a perfect amount of food. The potatoes they make have interesting and very tastyseasonings on them. Yum! And lastly the pancakes with banana. Pancakes were great and the banana was perfect. The fruit cupsadded to some dishes had fruit sliced in a lovely manner, which takes a minute to do, but leaves the dish looking so muchbetter. Overall a wonderful experience, will go again and will be happy to share the great food experience. As an immigrant, the name of this place got my attention and we decided to give it a try. And it was worth 100%. Not only they... have many options too choose from, they have very I mean very quick service!! I was surprised, we felt we instantly got ourorder. And now the taste, it was sooo fresh! Loved this place! There's something for everyone to like here. It's easy to see why they're popular! My friend and I tried an... assortment of their breakfast items and everything was delicious and so fresh. The Breakfast Lasagna and the Eggs Benedict arefantastic and a must-try. It's quite easy for breakfast foods to be overly salted, something I often experience, but I found theflavors and seasonings here to be so well balanced! Not to mention, the staff, owner, and manager were all incrediblyhospitable, friendly, and accommodating. The owner and manager both chatted with us for a short while, getting to know us andgiving us a little history behind their dishes and recipes. They were also going table to table and chatting with othercustomers as well. They have cozy indoor seating with large booths and a beautiful rustic-chic aesthetic and an outdoor seatingarea with picnic tables and umbrellas. There are also several small cafe tables in the shade by the restaurant'swindows. Overall, a wonderful experience! I'll definitely be back to try their homemade pastries! Tip: definitely get hereearly on the weekend. 45 minutes after they had opened, they already had a waiting line and tables were filling up fast. Read more
