Being out at garage sales every Saturday morning means you never quite know where you'll end up when the sales peter out. Today... we were in the Saticoy area of Ventura. We have several favorite breakfast/brunch places close by but we decided to trysomething new. Wooo, doggies!! Allison's Country Cafe has a wonderful rating and we discovered why. On our way through therestaurant, I was greeted by two random servers just because THEY'RE REALLY NICE HERE!! Our own server was kind and quick,helping us out with several suggestions. But even if they didn't have the nicest staff in the world, I'd still come back for thebiscuits. Our omelettes we're terrific but the housemade biscuits with homemade raspberry jam were freaking incredible!! I can'twait to try their cinnamon rolls! Read more
Food was great ! The portions were huge !! The Deluxe grits with hot apples, raisins and walnuts was soo perfect.. The biscuits... and Gravy were super huge! Country fried steak were mega big .. We didnt wait at all to sit and have brunch.. We will be backnext time we are in town. Read more

Went in for the first time and was pleasantly pleased. At first service was a bit slow, but damn was it worth the wait! Look at... the size of those biscuits!! Definitely did not have them for breakfast, and instead ate them for lunch, because the portions onmy omlette plate were humongous. However, everything was delicious, very tasty, and affordable for sure. Will definitely givethis place another try. Read more
Even though we had about a 15-20 minute wait at 10:30 am, we are still so glad that we tried this restaurant. It's a smaller... inside dining space but comfortable. Noise carries. Outdoor dining is available. Read more
