Wow! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted very warmly. We were then seated at an adorable tiki hut on the river. Beautiful... views! The food was excelent! We ordered oyster Rockefeller, Blackend grouper, seafood risotto and the churro desert! I onlyhave 1 critique: the blackening could have been more generous but I love spice. We?ve been here twice: Mon. 4/11 & 4/25 & we had fabulous food both times! The first time, we got oysters on the half shell,... Oysters Rockefeller, Seafood Risotto, & the Hawaiian burger. The 2nd, we had 1/2 lb hot peel & eat shrimp, a Hawaiian burger &the black & bleu burger. Both the oysters and shrimp were cleaned perfectly, which for some reason is difficult to find! Youcan tell by the photos there?s not one ounce of anything grainy in the shrimp. The oysters were the same way. I thought myoysters on the half shell were moderately priced considering the times, quite delicious, and while one or two were small mostwere decent sized. We got 14 shrimp in the half pound, which was a perfect amount. The seafood risotto was cooked properly,with plenty of seafood? some scallops, clams, mahi, shrimp. Good flavor and I ate the whole thing. The Hawaiian burger was sogood the first time around when my boyfriend ordered it that I got it the second time around. I had it cooked medium and it wasscrumptious! Both of us love the fact that the bun is toasted with butter! We had Theresa the first time and Kim the secondtime and each one provided us with courteous and professional service. I ordered a few drinks from the bar and that?s the onlyplace I would say needs some improvement. Today, I had an Absolute Moscow mule which didn?t have any flavor and tasted verywatery. The first time around, I had a Mojito and while I didn?t ask for a coconut Mojito, it had a coconut flavor and wasn?tquite the right color? it was kind of milky white and it should be clear with plenty of mint and lime. I might wait to orderthose types of cocktails in the near future (because I know they are in transition) until they kind of get their bar flowingbetter. All in all, we will go back again and again. We ate outside on a newly redone patio with individual high top picnic table cabanas. The tables are nicely spaced and gives an... open view of the river. The menu is not huge but it did have choices for everyone vegan, gluten free, meat chicken and fish andsalads. The presentation of the food was nice and the items that we got were good. I would say it's a little pricey but perhapsyou are paying for the view. Read more

Sweet view of the Myakka River just below the Rt. 41 bridge. Lots of happy people enjoying some good smelling food. We ate... outdoors and had salads & drinks with hush puppies on the side. This restaurant, because of its location, has the potential tobe really good. There were some red flags that should be addressed, however. I hope to return and see if there have beenimprovements. In general, the wait staff was working feverishly - not a slacker in the bunch. But I felt sorry for them. First,the wait staff was responsible for bussing their own tables. Given the distance to their outdoor tables, this took away timethat could have been better used serving their customers. Second, confusion reigned regarding which tables ordered which food.Three times we were offered food that wasn't ours. The wait staff seemed frustrated as though there was no way to keep the tablelocations organized and marked. Confusion & frustration was obvious. My wife ordered the wedge salad. She enjoyed it but one ofthe two wedges served was just a hard lettuce core - inedible. Why would a chef plate that? I ordered a house salad withblackened chicken and thousand island dressing. The chicken was overcooked and dried out. The thousand island dressing wasputrid. It was dark green and tasted a little like cocktail sauce. Our waitress insisted that the dressing was hand-made andnormal. I find that hard to believe. Thousand island is mayonnaise, ketchup, and relish mixed together. I think a line cookgrabbed cocktail sauce instead of ketchup. I have no idea where the green color came from. Our bill did not reflect the pricesshown on the menu. Some prices were higher, some were lower, so this is more of a confusion issue rather than a dishonest one.We also had a different waiter at the end than we had at the beginning. Excellent and quick service! The atmosphere is fantastic and the food was good! My husband had the Blackened Walleye and it was... really good. I had the Fried Pot Stickers and they were fabulous. I also had the Oyster Rockefeller and I wasn't thrilled withthose but I'm holding back judgment because my taste buds have been off a little, although, everything else tasted fine. Read more

Beautiful place on the river. Our server Sydney was excellent. She got everything right and suggested menu items that were... popular with their patrons. She enthusiastically suggested their pumpkin bread pudding which she said is awesome however it'snot on my food plan so didn't try it I had walleye which was really good. Cooked to perfection.
