Cozy little Italian place. One of our favorites in Venice. We always are treated so good here, the staff is above friendly. The... food is far superior than the average you find elsewhere. The presentation of the food was excellent, as was the service. BUT, the food was disappointing. In a new restaurant I will... often go with one of the specials to play it safe. One of my favorite fish dinners is fresh snapper and there was snapper on thespecials. Anything on the specials I expect to be fresh. Not this time. Fresh fish is moist and tender - the snapper was dry andtough. Also, too much garlic for my taste. The veggie was a zucchini & mushroom mix. The zucchini was overcooked (mushy) and themushrooms were undercooked (hard). The caeser salad was very good. There are several other italian restaurants in Venice withbetter food and lower prices. Last night, I randomly chose La Botte to order dinner to pick up after working outside all day cleaning up debris from Hurricane... Ian. All I can say is WOW! The salads and entrees were phenomenal! So delicious in fact, we dined at the bistro tonight! Thebistro is small with only about 10-12 tables so make a reservation! The Cesar salad, gamberi al limone, ragu bolonaise, gnocchigorgonzola, steak, strozzapreti Mari e Monti, cannoli , and tiramisu were top notch! Really, the best authentic Italian cuisineyou will find anywhere! I wish I could eat there every night! Read more

I want to start by saying I loved the atmosphere and the service was phenomenal, the food on the other hand was disappointing. I... had really high hopes about their cuisine based on other rave reviews, maybe they had a bad night, but I didn?t think the foodwas good, the meat sauce and marinara were so salty, the meatballs were chewy and the portions were so small for the amount ofmoney they charged. My husband and I enjoyed a scrumptious birthday celebration dinner at La Botte that was absolutely perfect from beginning to... end. We were graciously greeted and immediately seated which started off the wonderful service and delicious offerings. Thiswas our first time eating there and will definitely remember it when we want to again enjoy fine, authentic Italian cooking. Thank you for making my dinner a very special experience. Read more
