October 2nd My family decided to eat here for lunch. I had to wash my hands and the bathroom floor was so slick I about fell .... The smell was so bad I couldn?t wash my hands quick enough. Went to dry my hands off and there were no paper towels. My wifeordered the food and I took it to the table. The baby high chair was disgusting and sticky. My shoes were sliding on the floorsand it doesn?t look like the floors had been cleaned in a week. The soda machine was out of Co2 so the beverage was flat. Had toreturn the KFC sauce because it tasted spoiled and looked slimy. Figured I would just be safe and get the honey mustard , well Iwas wrong. The honey mustard also was slimy and tasted spoiled. The chicken strips I ordered were rubbery and old . At thispoint I could not eat anything else. Everyone was dissatisfied with there food. Worst service worst attitudes when trying to order food they have many reasons that food would take just so you won't wait for... them to serve you. Love in Vandalia wouldn't recommend this fast food restaurant. Read more
Food is always good. Some of the best sweet tea in town. Prices are a little expensive but it's classic KFC so what can you do.
Next time I'll get a hearing aid so I can hear the waitress mumble to me better. I'm sure that's my fault. The fried batter... filets had about a 1/4 "slice of fish inside of them. What a bonus! Fish! The hush puppies had spent just the proper number ofhours under the warming lamp so they were extra hard, just the way I like them. The cole slaw however was fresh, cool anddelicious. The fries were soggy enough that the extra $2 something I paid for the drink was wasted. All in all, If you like coleslaw, fried batter, rock puppies, limp potatoes and mumbling waitresses, this is the place for you. Read more
The food is pretty good and served very hot! My order stayed hot until I arrived home, about 7 miles away. The service is quick... and the kids are nice and customer oriented, a elderly gentleman had come in because of a mistake on his drive thru order andthe young lady at the counter was respectful to him and addressed his issue, they had some people that just started but everyonewas positive. Love the update ..very crisp and clean.... employees were cheerful and friendly fish and chicken were cooked correctly...but the... oil might have been old..(it was right before closing.)had a burnt taste..other than that it was perfect ???? Read more
We exited off I-70 for lunch here and it was worth the slight detour. The service is really exceptional, nothing like normal... fast food service. Our food came immediately and was quite fresh. The interior of this combo KFC-LJS is very modern and clean.Bathroom was also clean and well stocked. Read more
Probably typical of the freeway KFCs, it's a busy place. We happen to be neighbors. Food equals or exceeds most outlets. It... is nice that you can find the location online, order, and pay in advance for a scheduled pick up-- very convenient! Read more
