Reviews for Shari's Cafe and Pies in Vancouver, WA
Tried the pumpkin pancakes for breakfast, and it was good. Though I wish I've requested to have the butter on the side instead... of it being served on the top of the pancakes. The butter was just too much, making the pumpkin taste overwhelming. Service wasnice too. Read more

Black Bear, down the street, ran out of breakfast items so we ordered breakfast at this Sheri's. Appreciate the option to... order a 2 egg Denver omelette, which was good. The waitress was very attentive constantly refilling our drinks. We usuallyreceive a solid 4 star experience at Sheri's over the years but we especially enjoyed the food and service on this Labor day. Read more
I don't normally do reviews unless the service is either stellar or so bad that others should be warned. I was among a party of... three disabled individuals who came in with a service dog this morning. One of us was ambulatory, one had a cane and dog, andthe third among us was in a scooter. The service dog was clearly marked, which is not legally mandatory... and when asked if shewas a REAL service dog, we explained that she was, but that she was inexperienced with sitting under at booths. A regular table would be better. As the place was nearly empty, we were hoping that we could find a table that would accommodate the scooter, and the needs of the service animal. We were directed to a booth rather than a table despite our clear communication. Thewaitress then proceeded to try to stare the dog down - which is not OK - unwilling to leave us to handle the situation. If wehad been given three or four minutes to get settled - on the otherwise empty side of the restaurant - the dog likely wouldhave figured out what to do with minimal help. She just needed to adjust. While it's within the law to require a service animalto be under a table, we were not given the type of table that would allow the dog with us to succeed from the moment we wouldsit down. It is rude and inappropriate, and illegal, to require a specific place within a restaurant or hotel: a separate area, certain table, etc. A service animal is a tool that helps someone who otherwise cannot safely get out Into public a chance to dothat. They are not to be stared at and made anxious/ interacted with without specific permission. So, we left. After thisexperience, I doubt any of us will ever come back. Please train your staff to be more appropriate in their interactions. WhileI realize that the lady may have been having a rough morning, making people feel unwelcome, uncomfortable, and leavingunfulfilled (for what was going to be a birthday celebration, no less) is not the hospitality we expec Read more

I?ve been coming to this Sharis since it was first built. Still has good food and a great staff. Over the years their menu... has been consolidated - I remember when you could get a chili burger, meatloaf, vegetables like peas and corn, but the varietyisn?t there any more. Regardless, this is a good place. Read more

Have been to this location a few times now. It?s usually pretty quiet and waiting for a table seems to be rare. There are people... dining, but it?s a lot more quiet than other cafe types. All of my experiences have been positive and what you would expect froma diner or cafe. The only reason I?m not giving a 5 star review is because the location is a bit dated, if you don?t care aboutthat you will certainly enjoy their food and pies. Read more
