First time having Mango Tea and I was NOT disappointed.Everything priced fair. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Read more
We just dined into this restaurant earlier around 11:30am and it was quiet which is good. The service was really nice, the owner... gave us one free sticky rice since there were 3 of us and we ordered 2 foods! He was super nice and friendly!!! We recommendordering Crispy pork came with sticky rice and Thai donuts were the best! I have never had anything like this in Vancouver!Thank you so much for your service today, we?ll definitely come back!! Read more
Nice, clean little place. The fried chicken dish I got there was amazing . The chicken was cooked perfectly and so was the... rice. I?m pretty sure they put sweet marjoram herb in the dry rub. One of my favorite herbs by far. The dish was the number09. The portion was very generous. I highly recommend it. I can?t wait to try they?re other dishes. Also they don?t play anyannoying music, so you can eat in peace if you choose to stay, for me that deserves an extra star.. Read more
I will say upfront that I have resisted going to Kai Asian because of the paper bowls and plates. There is just something so... basically unappetizing about shoveling food into your mouth out of paper, but I thought, Put aside your preconceptions and focussolely on the food. I had the steamed Pork Bao as an appetizer and they were great! A good way to launch into a culinaryadventure. They were served with Sriracha and Soy sauce, But nothing to put the sauces in... Just a small peeve. I used theplastic top from my water, but I was determined to not withhold stars for petty utensil issues. I would have liked a littlesweet sauce, perhaps Hoisin, but the Boa was good, hot, and satisfying. The Tom Kha was exceptional, even is the Kafir lime leafappeared to be dried instead of fresh. But then like a pestering ghost, the problem of utensils comes back into mysensibilities. The spoon is a tiny plastic number that regiments you into a delicate sipping that was distracting and made mefeel like a kid in a school lunch room, but worse... It was a cheap flimsy spoon with sharp edges that repeatedly cut the insideof my lip. I looked down at the spoon and thought, What is that red color? Some wonderful crimson spice? No, It was blood andnot just one side, both sides. As much as I hate to do it, the feeling of cheapness keeps edging in. I know, it's a small placeand they probably don't have room for a dishwasher, but they need to figure out some answer for their spoons and forks at least.I am not interested in wrapping my big arthritic hands around a tiny light weight piece of sharp plastic, like a bear trying tograsp a toothbrush. So why, if I am so annoyed have I unbent enough to bestow the full 5 stars, and I'll tell you. I got theSesame Balls to go for my wife, which I did with some trepidation, as she is extraordinarily picky about her Sesame Balls. ThePrincess and the Sesame Balls instead of the Princess and the Pea. I delivered these little orbs of chewy dough and Read more
This place is delicious. Can?t wait to go back. The pictures do not do the food or portion sizes justice. Seriously, try it. The... staff are so courteous and offered 15% off to call-ins, I assume to offset the ridiculously high prices of Ubereats/Postmates/etc. Lastly, everything is so nicely packaged and utensils included. Got their fried chicken for takeout and it's so tasty, especially with the Thai sticky rice. Some of the best-spiced Asian food... I've had at a local restaurant, which makes me intrigued to try some of their other offerings. I ordered for to-go and itremained really tasty by the time I was able to eat it. Fast service. Great an respectful people. Chicken was fried a little heavy like a fast food restaurant. Needs time to cook, a little patience... In preparation for the chocked to cook. Eggs rolls were I little lite on the veggie s more over powering on the cabbage. Alittle time and patience, Thank you for your hospitality. Lower the price of egg roll not the best I've ever eaten. Authentic food at reasonable prices. Everything we ordered was great (vegan red curry, banana lumpias, aged tofu). Vegan red... curry had amazing taste and the vegetables (pumpkin) was cooked to perfection. It tastes as good meat red curries I've had atother non street food places. Banana lumpias were surprisingly good. First time having it and it's sweet, crisp, and not toomushy. Good dessert snack. Aged tofu was also delicious. The tofu tasted fresh and it came piping hot with small sweet chilisauce. Very casual place so items are served in paper boxes/plates with plastic utensils. Very street food vibes. Read more
