I was shaking after getting my food from this place. I've been coming to big town hero for 15 years but lately the quality has... gone way down hill. The preparation was horrific, everything was just slopped together, the bread was completely soaked andsmashed flat and falling apart I had to rebuild them all and they were still gross, they gave us the wrong chips and drink. thesandwiches were made completely different from what the menu says, both the veggie sandwiches we ordered had zero cheese whenthey're supposed to have 3 types of cheese. Sadly 2 of the 3 sandwiches we ordered went to the trash. Total disaster. Read more
Big town hero? More like big town loser. I got turkey on my vegetarian sandwhich that took 15 minutes to make for a to go order,... and now it is just lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise and bread for $14. That is ridiculous Read more
Honestly, if you want a filling, quick lunch while in the downtown area, I would highly recommend Big Town Hero. They'll... typically serve you within a couple of minutes and you can get some fresh sandwiches, soup, or even their pre-packaged macaronisalad. Their mac salad tastes a lot better than usual as they do not skimp on the sauce, lots of flavor inside. Sandwiches havegood ingredients and are reasonably priced. Service is super nice and they'll do their best to help you out. The interior isfairly clean, better than most fast food establishments. Read more
First time visiting and was very happy with the experience. I ordered the reuben and my wife had the southwestern style salad... with fresh avocado. Tasty and fresh. The turkey in the salad wad fresh and had a slight smokey flavor and the sandwich was verygood. The bread was worth the price alone. I came to learn that the dough is never frozen. The staff was kind and helpful and wewere able to dine in. Place was clean and we'll make sure to visit again when we need a sandwich and salad fix. Read more
I was excited to eat here, but I did not love it. The staff was very good. Helpful and very friendly. The bread (which they seem... to be super proud of) was decent. But overall my sandwich was just okay. There was nothing great or terrible about it. It couldhave used more....flavor. I would eat there again if I was nearby and wanted a quick bite. I would not go out of my way. Nexttime I will try a less complicated sandwich see what happens. Prices are good for what you get. Read more
Was very tasty. Used the code for the chips and soda. Great deal. Got a medium sandwich and it was huge ate only half of it. ... Was very tidy. Two robots. Connected to the coffee shop via internal network of hall ways. Going to wait till I go back againbefore I decide if they were 5 star status. Staff was very nice though. At first glance the place seems very clean and new, the please also has robots that will serve to you table, really cool. I have... eaten Big Town Hero in Portland and I really like it, there Veggie sub is super and has really some bread. I have been waitingfor years for this place to come to Vancouver. Just waiting for my food now. I just had to only wait 7 minutes. My sandwichlooks great. I will return again. *Update* I had to drop 2 stars because my sandwich did not have all of it's veggies. Also theywere out of cheese garlic bread. Sad. Read more
I love Big Town Hero and was excited when there was finally one local to me. I have been in 3 times in the last month and a half... or so and each time my order has been completely botched which is pretty mind blowing as it is ham, cheese, mustard, mayo,pickles. I try not to post bad reviews as I understand the service industry especially durng covid is very difficult, but thereis clearly a quality control issue if my order is wrong every time. Bummer deal when you are paying $10 after tip for a regularsandwich no sides or drink. Update: I have been back 10 times since this review. My order has been correct exactly 1 of thosetimes.
