Reviews for Viet Family - The Vegan House in Vancouver, BC
Viet Family is a new family-run, all-vegan Vietnamese restaurant in Vancouver. I?ve only been here once so far with a small... group of people who wanted to share a few things, and while I wasn?t wowed by every dish on our first visit, I did leavesatisfied and full enough to want to return to try their soups. The Lemongrass Chicken was the favourite out of all the thingswe ordered, followed by the Summer Roll. The other items we ordered (Mushroom Beef, Brussel Sprouts, and Dumplings) were justOK; nothing groundbreaking/legendary to brag about. One thing to note though is that while their menu states animal names, their proteins are all actually soy based; no animal meat is served here. I will be returning to try out their soups and may berevising this review in future. Read more
Best vegan pho! Best Vietnamese food in Vancouver ???? really loved the lemongrass chicken as well. So grateful we found this... place. Will definitely recommend to others and come back. Read more
C?m ?n As a vegan and avid lover of asian cuisine, I had to jump on the opportunity of a fully vegan vietnamese joint. However,... the Ph? Chay ????? really lacked any flavor or authenticity and wasn't even served with basic mint, chillis and beansproutscondiments.. I tried to add some flavor through the chilli oil and ended up just being tremendously greast overall. Iv had a lotof Ph? and this really didn't do much for me at all Unfortunately. Whilst I don't actively look for mock meats, the imitationbeef wasn't bad and a there was a fair amount of tofu. It was also quite difficult to eat as it had huge slices of Pak Choi cutin a very peculiar method and a splash fest. We also shared a Veggie Roll which was pretty yummy, but fairly overpriced whenconsidering it's one spring roll cut into four pieces. The food also came super quick and at the time made me even think thatthere was a lack of care, effort and attention to detail. Unfortunately this joint was a huge overhype for me and I hate to givea non-positive review but have to be honest. Support local businesses! Read more

Very nice decor and comfortable space to eat. This vegan restaurant just open recently and they have 20% discount for their... grand opening (I forgot to ask when it ends). Our friend recommend this restaurant so we come and try it out today. We orderedFried Dumpling, Special Tofu Bowl, Caramel Spare Rib Spice. The food is very delicious, I like their purple sticky rice a lot.Tofu Bowl is very flavourful too. The chef recommend Ph? for our next time, he said Pho and Curry Laska Noodle are his specialdishes. I want to order Viet Milk Coffee and Peach tea to try but they are out of stock. I guess these items must be popular.I'll try it next time. Read more
For those who are vegan lover, you must try this place, Asian vegan food, particularly Vietnamese Cuisine style. We ordered few... dishes and all of them were Amazing. I would recommended Tofu bowl and peach tea, the bowl is excellent fusion and well-mixturedfresh veggie and toppings. Now i know the option to eat vegan in Vancouver restaurant. I would definitely recommend for myvegetarian friends, also option for converting my meat-lover friends to eat healthy food. Read more
This place surprised me with how good it was. The vegan beef pho?s broth was very flavourful and had a meaty taste to it. Of... course you could tell the beef wasn?t real, but it pairs well with the vinegar sauce and tasted pretty good. This woulddefinitely satisfy vegans who miss pho. I do wish they had given you the typical bean sprouts, lemon, etc toppings. The soup wasalso a bit on the oilier side, but not too bad. The spareribs flavour reminded me of honey garlic pork, it was super good. Ilike how they used purple rice over white and it was definitely needed because the sauce is a bit on the saltier side. Flavourpacks a punch! Overall, the food was good and I love how everything was vegan without feeling like you?re missing something.Portion size was good and price was reasonable. I?d definitely come back and recommend you come here as a great vegan Vietnameseoption! Read more
