When we walked into this restaurant my husband was transported to his late aunt?s house by the delicious Ukrainian cooking... smells. That alone was worth the visit to the restaurant. We started off on a nostalgic note. We both had the Ukrainian dinner.Mine was the vegetarian version. The vegetarian cabbage rolls were fantastic, but I found I had to think of them as a veggieroll to not compare to what I am used to for a cabbage roll. It?s not a replacement for the original BUT it is tasty and fillingin its own right. Everything was great and total soul food for these kids originally from SK. Right down to the pickle! Ourhearts and stomachs were full when we left the restaurant. Read more

Such an exceptional experinece we had here. Very healthy food and fantastic, kind waitress. Won't ever forget how warm, cozy and... convenient was inside. We tried grandma garden salad with olive oil as side which was awesome. Fried onion and beef straganoffwere a great match. And even more delightful was the authentic dishes. Read more

I popped in for lunch that turned out to be such a surprise. The authentic Borscht with meat was exceptional- -perfection. I... also had meatloaf- so flavourful, comforting with super stuffed, mixed perogies and gravy. Generous portions. Not fancy, butsweet charm. Efficient, attentive, service. Read more

Excellent! We started with the artfully presented, delicious pickled herring that came with onion, pickle, bread, and very fresh... sour cream. Ukrainian dinner: 2 cabbage rolls, 6 perogies (2 potatoe, 2 yam, and my favorite 2 sauerkraut), Ukraine Sausage withsome killer sweet/hot mustard, and some very refreshing Coleslaw. For dessert we had a Kiev Cake- chocolate mousse wrapped inmeringue. Very different and very yummy. Very reasonably priced for Vancouver. Everything on the menu sounded good and it wastough to decide. Would highly recommend! Read more

Cozy restaurant with large portions. We all got Ukranian dinners and we were very satisfied with the meal. The cabbage rolls... were especially delicious. Only downside was that the service was pretty slow, but as the evening went on, luckily things got abit speedier. Overall delicious food and would recommend! Read more

This is a cute place that sells solid Ukrainian food. Would definitely recommend one of their specialty dinner and get assorted... flavours for pierogis, so you can try them all it gives you a Ukrainian food sample. Cabbage rolls were pretty large, goodflavour and relatively filling. My favourite pierogi was the potato and cheese one. They also give you a side of what seems likea coleslaw. It?s a good portion. Only complain was the service. Waiter never filled up our water, checked in and we had to goto them for a takeout container and to get the bill. Just didn?t feel tended to at all. Read more

Perfect spot for a hearty meal on a cold winter day. The quality and authenticity of the meals here are superb... and the... volume, well the photos says it all. Service is excellent and friendly, sitting at the window and watching the cold world passyou by as you tuck into a comforting meal is a bonus. It's a small restaurant, but if there is a wait, it's worth it we found. Read more
