We ordered a Devils Food Cake for my sisters marriage afterparty. It?s my favourite cake in Vancouver and I knew my brother in... law is a huge fan of sweets. Everyone at the 30+ guests reception came for seconds and we STILL had leftovers for home. Moistcake, dense chocolate flavour, perfectly sweet marshmallow frosting. Unfortunately, the sides of the cake were stuck to sidesof the box during delivery. We were only left with one side that was unaffected (thankfully it was just enough to show as the?photo? side). This is a great place to come for dessert. I had the red velvet cake slice which was delicious. The cake was moist and the icing... was tasty and not too sweet. The portion size is huge so good to share between two people. Read more
Cakes were really good. I waited for about 25 minutes to get a slice of cake and a milkshake. Service was kind and polite.... Prices are worth the size of the slice. The vanilla milkshake was INCREDIBLE, definitely worth trying. The atmosphere here iskind of cozy and it wasn?t crowded. They have a vast variety of cakes. Read more
Fairly large selection of cakes to choose from. Service was friendly. The strawberry shortcake was good, the birthday cake was... okay. Either of them didn't give me the 'omg' moment when you taste a really delicious dessert. We also had English breakfasttea which had great flavour. I will be back to try more cakes. True Confections has been the tried and true dessert place to go to with friends for decades. We went to the one downtown on... Denman Street. There?s an ample selection of cakes, cheesecakes, and pies for all types of sweet tooths. All of us hadsomething chocolate ? chocolate raspberry cake, dark Belgian Mousse Torte, & Devil?s Food cake. We all enjoyed our dessertchoices. Their prices are reasonable. The slices are enough to bring home as leftovers. Their cakes still taste delish and freshafter all these years. Too bad their pies didn?t possess a wow factor. You can buy a slice of cake or a whole cake. A niceplace to enjoy desserts and beverages with family and friends any time. Read more
