My Vietnamese brethren... Where to start, where to start. First, the table was absolutely appalling... There was sauce all over... the table and chilli oil spilled all over the floor. We were fine with the chilli oil spilled on the floor, but the sauce on thetable was another story... There was sauce dripping off the side and onto the chairs. I have had my fair share of dirtyrestaurants, but this had to have been one of the most disgusting things... Thai Son has been my family's special pho place for 20+ years. I love how every location tasted consistently delicious and... always had a casual, friendly vibe. 10% off every Tuesday. Owners and staff are legit Viet. Broth is flavored, sweet, fresh, andnot oily. Lemongrass chicken rice is exactly how it should be, and always comes with a small soup/broth on the side. Portionsare always VERY filling. A group of 3 came in today carrying a small dog, and kept saying it is a service dog and should beallowed by law to enter. This is a chain of restaurant in many locations in Vancouver & the surrounding city. The menu is quite extensive, from soup... noodle (many variations) including Pho (Vietnamese noodles) to dry noodles, marinated meat in rice or rice noodles, rice rollswrapped with vermicelli & veggie to deep fried veggie & meat spring rolls. Service is ok, you get your needs met eventually.Come for the food , don't expect 5 star service. We come here often, never had a bad dish. Definitely satisfied our craving, oneof my favourite is the dry noodles. Menu can be confusing for first timer or a person who never had Vietnamese food. Don't beshy, live dangerously! Had a meeting here today and was a little disappointed. Order dish #20 seafood pho and the broth was bland. My gust orders... where also wrong. Service was ok and when we went to pay at the counter the lady said minimum tip is 10%. We where shocked byher response as the service was not worth a 10% tip.
