Delicious! I do wish they would carry Japanese Chicken Curry and Japanese Beef Curry. I'm not sure those are authentic Japanese... dishes though... Very interesting place with some fusion dishes. Some are good some but other dishes don't go so well, like their sushi roll with... cheese... But overall they have decent sushi. If you're in the neighborhood you should come visit. It's a cute little space. Read more
Tatsu is a tiny Japanese bistro located on ?The Drive? in Vancouver. We stopped by one weekend for lunch and managed to squish... into a table near the window. We started out with the Lunch Bento with Chicken Teriyaki ($12.95). It?s not a bad bento boxgiven the variety of items that you get: California roll, fried gyoza, tempura, chicken teriyaki, and salad. The AssortedSashimi ($30.50 for 16 pcs) turned out pretty good and included two types of tuna, tako, sockeye (which was my fav), surf clam,hamachi, shrimp, ikura, and tamago. A nice find for good sushi on Commercial Drive. There are several sushi restaurants in the area but we're glad to try this one.... The interior shows much better than what you see outside. The space is small so you may have to wait to get seating. We had ateriyaki bento box, yaki soba, and rainbow roll which tasted great with good quantities of fresh ingredients. Will come backagain!
