I want so much to give this place 5-stars, but I just can't. We stopped in recently in an effort to expand our go-to list of... pizza spots, and ordered a large Hawaiian. Look, I acknowledge that pineapple is a contentious pizza topping ? some consider ita culinary atrocity, while some of us celebrate that tangy-meaty combo. Anyone who orders it, however, is clearly in the lattergroup. So when it arrived at our table and the pineapple was nothing but desiccated slivers of flavourless pulp, we were deeplydisappointed. Those thin, dry little triangles had literally no pineapple flavour. No juice. No tang. I've never experiencedpineapple so ready to surrender every virtue that makes it delicious. Which is a terrible shame, because absolutely everythingelse about the pizza was freakin' amazing. The sauce was delicious, the crust thin and a perfect blend of chewy and crispy,there was just the perfect amount of cheese, and the ham was both plentiful and flavourful. If they'd replaced that sad,inexcusable pineapple for some juicy chunks liberally (and evenly...don't leave half the surface area with no pineapple on it!)applied, we would absolutely add Barbarella to our list of go-to pizza joints. Perhaps we'll try again sometime in the future,as the service was great, and the pizza had such promise. If we do, we may have to bring our own can of pineapple...just incase. Read more
Went at end of the night for takeout. Shared a pizza and it was underwhelming. The dough/crust was good. However, the pizza... itself lacked flavour and depth. Read more
Perhaps we got them on the wrong day, you never know with covid. Service was really slow, pizza was really salty, poor quality... of ingredients. There's just better places out there for what this is. Stick to Via Tevere, Sprezzatura etc if you're lookingfor this style. Read more
Amazing pizzas! We got the Spinach Salad, the Miele Pizza and the Hawaiian, and both were delicious, complemented by the... housemade rosemary oil! So delicious that we dug in and I didn?t get a chance to take photos! Really tasty local brews as well.Lemon Sour is a hit! Great service. Read more
