I ordered Karaage Curry and my friend ordered Tonkatsu Curry. Both dishes were freshly made and the chicken was properly fried.... The curry they serve has a sour taste to it. It is unlike the regular sweet Japanese curry. Still, it?s worth a try. Read more

Comforting meal. I found level 3 not very spicy. Had beef curry and added vegetables as an extra topping Partner had tonkatsu... curry and the meat was beautifully cooked, crispy outside, juicy inside. Suggest to go for a walk after, I found portiongenerous. Read more

I heard a lot of good things about this place and I wanted to check it out. The restaurant was pretty small but when I went, it... wasn't too busy so I was able to get a seat. The cashier was really helpful in helping me choose a curry and I ended up gettingthe pork katsu curry. The curry was really done well and the katsu was nice and crispy. Overall, decent value for what you'repaying and the restaurant were nice. Would recommend trying it out if you like Japanese curries! Read more

This place is great! The curry has a great texture , consistency and spice level for everybody. We got the tofu and vegetarian... and in must say the vegetable were not over cooked, the tofu crispy on the outside and fresh and soft on the inside. The misohad a great fishy taste but not overpowering. The matcha dessert was not too sweet which added a nice touch. The presentationneeds to improve, thus the food is amazing! Highly recommended as confort food Read more

Not a fan of spicy food. But all the great reviews got the better of me. Tried the mild Tonkatsu Chicken Curry and found it way... too spicy. Sweating profusely through your meal is not enjoyable. Also shouldn?t have ordered extra rice. The portion that camewith the meal was more than enough. The food is probably great for anyone who enjoys spicy meals. It?s just not for me. Read more

I haven't been to Japan since a couple of years and since then I have been craving for some Japanese curry. A friend of mine... recommended me this place to go eat for the night and I was 100% down for it. Cashier was nice, helped my friends out since theydidn't know what they wanted. I ordered a pork katsu curry and extra curry sauce. It hit the curry craving spot I had.Definitely would go again if I am in the area.. Read more

???????????!! <3 This is by far the closest I have come to my experience of travelling around Japan and tasting this incredible... dish. My overall number one favorite grub spot in the whole of Vancouver, this place is totally dope I love it! It's sodifficult to find a good specialized katsu joint, especially one that even has vegan options. If you've also been struggling, then look no further as this little gem is the place to be for sure. This grub is real authentic and home-cooking styleflavorful Japanese katsu at its best, super yummy and tasty-addictive. It's a very quaint and efficiently ran little restaurantwith extremely friendly and talented staff. The attention of detail, consistency and effort put into every dish made makes thisjoint an absolute winner by far. Even down to the portion of rice and the amount of katsu Curry sauce given is a perfectbalanced ratio and seems that this menu has been perfected down to the smallest detail. The staff were even friendly andthoughtful enough to check we were OK with the Pumpkin croquet made from eggs as we ordered the vegan katsu which tastedAWESOME... ingredients and words cannot do justice honestly. I love their vegan options and the fact you can totally customizeyour meal depending on how your feeling at the time, at fantastic value for money for great quality food, I cannot wait to visitagain!! I also added a Boiled egg and Pumpkin Croquette on top of my Vegan Tofu Katsu ??????? which made the perfect dinnercombo. Support local businesses! I even got a follow-back from Mr Japanese Curry himself on Instagram which totally made my day! Read more

Every since we got back from Japan a few years ago, been looking for a similar place that offers authentic Japanese curry. We... found a spot that is on par with our experience in Japan. First, the curry, select your level of spice, I got for #4 extremeand eaten with a nice beef patty. Super creamy, buttery curry, that has a tamed, not overpowering spiced like Indian curry. Mykids and wife ordered the pork cullet, as equally as good as it looks, everything is excellent. Even the rice is cookedperfectly - Japanese rice. A hidden gem, worth the a visit!!! Read more
