Food from the brunch menu was good with extremely generous portions and reasonable prices. The food took quite a while to arrive... and they seemed understaffed possibly due to covid. Unfortunately they served room temperature water which I really dislike andI ended up eating way to much due to the very large portions (that's on me I guess). Overall I had mixed feelings about LaCigale Bistro despite the many other positions reviews. Read more

I highly recommend this place for incredible French food at a reasonable price, as they have a $35 prix fixe menu that is such... great value - it comes with your choice of appetizer, main course, and dessert, and I honestly loved every dish that I triedhere. The service was warm and friendly, and the atmosphere was casual and cozy. Please see pictures for a more detaileddescription of each dish. The brunch menu was pretty good except that everything has cheese and dairy in it, so that was unfortunate. While the food was... good, there was just too much potatoes and the food was a bit on the greasy side. The French onion soup was really good tho. Read more

Quaint French Bistro. Located on busy 4th Ave a few doors east of Las Margaritas. My family and I had a hankering for French... food since I felt bitten by nostalgia. My son has never experienced this cuisine before so we ordered 3 of the 3-course fixedpriced menus. We each had a choice of appetizer so we could try each other's dish. We had the traditional French onion soup, anonion tart and a garden salad. The soup broth was tasty, topped by a broiled cheese crouton. My onion tart was a mild goat'scheese in a very flaky freeform crust topped with gently sauted onions, garnished with a squash puree, a balsamic vinegarreduction, arugula spray and root chips. The presentation was very eye catching and the tart was pipping hot. My son's salad wasamazing according to someone who doesn't usually enjoy eating salad. Spring greens, sliced sweet pepper, carrot shreds, cucumbers and sliced strawberries all brought together with a lightly dressed buttermilk dressing. Delish he said. Our mainswere duck confit cassoulet, linguine seafood medley in a dill cream sauce and braised beef cheeks with mash and vegetables. Myduck was perfectly seasoned, had crispy skin and unctuous flesh and a berry jam. My white beans were tender cooked with carrots, onions and diced sausage pieces. My husband who is not a pasta fanatic the way I am raved about his seafood linguine. The saucewas very creamy and not overwhelmed by the dill which can happen. The seafood consisted of smoked salmon pieces, mussels andlittle clams. The portion size was very generous. The braised beef was a hit since no words were spoken by our son during themeal. Lol. He was too busy enjoying himself. Service was attentive by the wait staff. There were suitable intervals betweencourses so you didn't feel rushed or overstuffed. Dessert arrived in the form of 2 orders of baked cheesecake with a blueberryreduction and garnished with a hazelnut flavoured whipped cream and a traditional chocolate mousse. The chocolate Read more

I have had the terrine... champagne, mussels, penne Marsala, seafood linguini French onion soup, duck, and the bread with butter are all amazing! Brunchis awesome as well. Their version of french toast is so yummy! Kudos to the chef. They also have an excellent selection of wine.We are here at least every month. Good times! Read more

Very good and very filling. The prix fixe menu was wonderful with the duck with crispy but melt-in-your-mouth skin. Server was... very attentive and provided appropriate cutlery for each course. Bright room so you can see and enjoy your dining company. Read more
