We used to live around the corner from this restaurant and ate here all the time. I'd been coming here for ages. We moved to a... suburb, but I'd been craving Indian Oven's butter chicken and korma, so we made the 45-minute trek to get takeout for the firsttime in over a year. We were so excited that we bought double portions of each to take home and have extra asleftovers! Unfortunately, as soon as we opened the packages at home, we realized that something had changed. The korma used tobe delicious, so flavourful and creamy. Now it manages to be both thin and lumpy at the same time and the flavour is completelydifferent. The butter chicken is just weaker in every possible way: flavour, texture, etc. Everything costs about 25% more andis absolutely terrible. Such a shame because the space, location and staff are wonderful, but we won't be going back Now wehave to hunt for a new favourite Indian restaurant. Read more

Came for the vegetable lunch special. Everything tasted perfect, it was so delicious. My partner got the chicken lunch special... and enjoyed it just as much. The portion was big for how affordable the price was, and with a great environment and view, wewill be coming back. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved it! Read more

I used to come to Indian Oven and get a good meal. I like their butter chicken. And as far as I can remember it was the best... butter chicken in Vancouver based on my opinion. And was also reasonably priced. However on my last visit I came into an emptyrestaurant. Across the street the Mexican restaurant was busy but Indian Oven was empty. It was fine by me and I was happy tohave a meal alone. Servers were nice and I got my food quickly but this time the butter chicken did not taste the same. I had anextra order of Nan bread which used to be great but not this time. My overall experience at Indian Oven this time wasdisappointing. Food was expensive as well. And the extra Nan was almost $6 dollars. Dinner for one person with no drinks and atip came to almost $40 dollars. To compare I tried the butter chicken at King's Head and it was a lot better and the price wasless than $20 dollars. But the Nan bread is not as good as Indian Oven. I think that my last visit may have been my last atIndian Oven. I don't know how it changed and got more expensive but it is not for the better. My rating is 2.5 stars. Read more

Disappointing. We are new to the area, after seeing the amazing reviews on this restaurant we were really excited to try it out... so we ordered take out from them. The chicken korma was so watery and had no flavour (and didn?t look appetizing overall) Therice was cold and mushy. Not even the naan bread could save it. For the price, I definitely expected something better. Won?t beordering from here again. Read more

This is an established restaurant and a hidden gem in Kitsilano (second floor location). The food is authentic and tastes great.... There are not many choices for Indian restaurants in the area, and this is a good one. The owners and workers are friendly. Theyhave an outdoor patio that overlooks 4th Avenue and off onto the downtown core. They have a small lot at the back with freeparking. #letsguide #covid Read more

We happened to come to this restaurant by ?accident?. We were on our way to another restaurant that was fully booked so we... stopped here. What an awesome chain of events.
