We needed a snack and decided to try Hoy?s on our way home. The shredded pork chow mein was crispy the way it should be and the... sauce yummy. The pork liver congee was ok. The congee base was good but the liver was overcooked. The food came out slowlyfrom the kitchen. We ended up ordering some chow mein for take out and ended waiting even longer. Definitely worth it. Cannotbeat Hoy?s prices. Read more

Overall just very bland. Shredded chicken chowmein was OK, Veg with oyster sauce (gai lan) was tender, tofu with salt and... peppers tasted like cardboard, pan fried dumplings were just globs of tasteless dough, not even panfried, and the BBQ duckwonton wasn't very good either. So disappointing. Can't find any good Cantonese food for delivery. Read more

Frequently go for delicious noodle soups, and all of thier sides are great! I always feel good about supporting this family... resturaunt and tipping generously. Their chili oil is also one of my lowkey favorite things from them Read more

Good won ton restaurant with very reasonable prices. A local family business that we are happy to support. The large won ton... soup for $19.99 had 32 *huge* won tons (see photo)! Awesome! Definitely a soup for someone who wants to eat a lot at a goodprice and fill you up. The medium won ton soup at $10.99 is huge in itself for dinner. Pan fried dumplings and su mai aredelicious. Adding hot sauce makes everything ever the more yummy! We have yet to try more menu items, but will return for surewhen near Kingsway. Good place to take friends. Read more

This place has really gone downhill. My previous entry was 5 stars. Now i will downgrade this to 1 star. The house special... chow mein I ordered had no fresh ingredients in there. To make things worse, they put liver in there and the liver was not fullcooked (slightly red). This was 100% confirmed liver not not cha siu. Occasionally the beef chow fun i ordered in the past hadrancid, semi-spoiled meat in our dish. Will never come here again. Read more

I ordered take out last night. It took over 90mins for it to arrive. Food was warm not hot and I live 5mins away. Really... disappointed it took so long but calling them they were prompt in giving me an update as to where the driver was. So I washoping the food would be worth the wait. Good portions and great for the price point but the quality isn?t quite there. Food isbland. So great place if you want a lot of food for cheap but if you want quality order somewhere else. We found this restaurant on a quick Google search of places near us. We wanted to eat in, not take out. The food in the photos... already posted looked good, and I always take opinions with a grain of salt, so we gave it a try. We weren't disappointed. Thefood was served hot and fast. Portions were generous. We ordered a dinner for 4, deep fried wontons, and a house special chowmein. Dinner for 4 included wonton soup, 4 egg rolls, house special fried rice, beef & greens, sweet & sour pork and honeygarlic spareribs. The food in general was good, so I'll say what I didn't like. The sweet & sour pork was mostly onions, peppers& sauce. Not a lot of pork. The house special chow mein ... There was a meat in it that was unpleasant, otherwise the rest ofthe dish was okay. Would I order it again, probably not, I'd just order plain. The egg rolls were very greasy. What I reallyliked: the greens. Lots of veggies, lots of Bok Choy. Well cooked too, not mushy or too firm. We will eat here again if we arein the neighborhood. Read more
