As many others have said, this was my fave sushi place, but there appears to be new owners and they have definitely not made any... improvements. The quality has declined along with the flavour. Time to find a new sushi place I guess. Read more
Very reasonable quality sushi and sashimi at this friendly restaurant near corner of East Broadway and Kingsway, across from... Kingsgate Mall in Mt. Pleasant area. We really enjoyed the Dynamite Sushi Sashimi Combo, delicious crispy tempura My Love Roll(salmon, cream cheese, crab meat and chopped scallops) and a Chef Special the Spider Dragon Roll! We were full yet the bill for2 include side miso soup and 1/2 sake was only $47 including taxes! I ordered their all day specials: 3 pc of chopped scallop nigiri, spicy tuna roll and salmon avocado roll. It came with a miso... soup. They served me iced water. For $20, I think it was a pretty good deal! But the colour of the chopped scallop was morepink than usual. The taste was not bad tho! It?s a great place to go for some affordable sushi! Read more
We ordered the Chirashi don (assorted sashimi rice bowl). The quality was great and the sashimis were large in size and there... were more than 15 pieces, which makes a very good deal for its price point. We also tried the salmon belly and toro aburi, aswell as the Tataki Attack Roll and Philadelphia Roll, and all tasted very delicious! Presentation was very good as well andservers were attentive and quick. A very filling meal. Overall a very good dining experience and will try their other creationsnext time. Used to be my favourite sushi places, but after the change of owners the quality of food has gone straight into the gutter. It?s... straight up dangerous. I have thrown up over a dozen times now. Will never be coming back. Read more
