The food was good, but the service was extremely lousy, it took 2.5 hours just to get dinner done. Also for some reason the 3... person sharing platter has 3 of each veggie, but just 2 chicken drumsticks? I asked the waitress, she said yeah you should havegotten 3, and then never returned. Loved this Ethiopian restaurant they serve great platters which have a little bit of everything, chicken, beef, lamb, lentils,... butternut spinach and more, served their traditional bread - Injera. Tried the honey wine, which was really great (tasted a lotlike gluhwein) We went when they opened at noon, so service was a very slow they only had 2 people working but the ambience waschilled, and the servers were very friendly. Great place to go with friends and have the Platter :) Read more

Service is iffy, especially if you come at a busy time of day. Took us 45 min just to get our order in and another half hour to... get food. But my oh my, is it worth the wait! Incredible Ethiopian, with nowhere else in the city coming close. So incrediblygood. Read more

First ever Ethiopian food and it was pretty good! There was only one person working, so the service was kinda slow. We order... sharing platter for 3 for 4 of us. Price is kinda expensive. Read more

Food - Vegetation platter was good but the service was not great. Ordered the honey wine as it was highly recommended here but... the order never came. The ambience was good but left feeling that the service could have been much better. Read more

This is only the second Ethiopian restaurant I?ve ever been to, so I don?t have much to say on how authentic their food is. ... That being said, I thought the food was okay? We ordered the shared platter, and while it was nice to be able to try differentitems all in one go, I feel like the spices/flavours of most of the items were too similar even though the colours were quitedifferent from each other. Their injera flatbread?s texture was very different too from the last Ethiopian place I visited;this was mushier in comparison. Lack of different flavours and textures, in the end it just feels like I?m eating the samething the whole time. The peanut-y soup was just alright too, wouldn?t recommend it. I think the most disappointing part wasthe slow service. They were visibly understaffed, and I get that that?s out of their control, but it doesn?t help that theservers were not very efficient or welcoming either. Really wanted to like this place but not sure if I would come back again?. Read more

Was so delicious! This is the second time I try Ethiopian food, so I'm no expert but the first time was in the airport of Addis... Ababa Ethiopia and this was wayyyy better. Loved the veggie combination, the cabbage dish was amazing and our waitress was verysweet and kind. Also if you're looking for some STRONG coffee, grab an ethiopian coffee to end your meal with. Yum! A gem on Commercial Drive! There's street patio seating as well as indoor seating, although does not seem to have adequate AC... inside. Our waitress Saba was great -very kind and helpful with recommendations. They have an in-house made fermented honeywine. The food was delicious. With a platter for 3 and 1L of wine, it came to $90 before tip! Read more
