My friend and I decided to go here a little last minute, but we were able to make a reservation on Sunday morning for 5:30 later... that day. We had a fantastic time! Started off with a warm welcome from the staff into the restaurant. Decoration is on thesimple side, but classy and welcoming.\nTo start, our waitress offered to bring us samples of any of the drinks if we wanted totry something without committing. We were both really intrigued by the orange wine on the drink list since neither of us hadtried orange wine before, so we asked for samples of that. They actually brought us each two samples: the wine from the menu, and another orange wine that they’d just brought in and wasn’t on the menu yet. The first tasted more conventional, theoff-menu wine had a smoky taste yet went down easily. I was pretty into this one, but after two tastings I no longer felt theneed for more alcohol, so I ended up ordering their Summer Soda instead, which was refreshing and only very mildly sweet.\nOurwaitress advised us that for 2 people, they recommend 4-6 dishes, so we ordered the Beets, Tofu, Shishito, and Dumplings, plusthe Plum dessert. The plates are all portioned for 2 people to share and the portions with this number of dishes worked out wellfor us - it was a very satisfying meal but I wasn\'t overstuffed. I think you could split the dinner plates with up to 4 peopleand everyone would still get a decent taste, but the dessert would be hard to split more than 2 ways, maybe 3. The plates werebrought out one at a time, and someone from the kitchen explained each as they brought it. A few comments on each dish (theywere all fantastic, this is just to give more detail than what you see on the menu)\nBeets: This was kind of like a tartare, andwas served with crisps. I forget what they said the crisps were made of, but they were kind of different and very tasty, andalso pretty light. I really liked the sweetness and floral notes in this one.\nTofu: If I had to pick a f Read more

So glad to find another amazing vegan restaurant!\n\nLoved the wine I ordered, it’s a light, smooth and aromatic Rose wine:... SEA STAR, intertidal 2021. Server was so kind and let me tasted it before I ordered :)\n\nHalf portion is available for orderingif you are dining in just by yourself, or if you just want to try more dishes.\n\nbread: warm and soft, with red pepper dippingsauce.\nMushroom dumpling: very flavorful, the dumpling dough is soft and chewy (even a little bit like mochi)\n\nService isamazing every time. Washroom has cute wallpaper, very clean, and the hand soap smells nice.\n\nThey also offer a free seaweedcaramel when you pay the check! And It’s even better than the ones you may find in a dessert shop. Read more

I’ve been here twice and so far it has been a wonderful experience! My husband and I tried the Tasting Menu the other day... which was delicious! I loved all the flavour and textures in every dish and love that they have something different to offerplus it feels healthy and nourishing which can sometimes feel hard to find for vegan dishes. Plus the desserts wereINCREDIBLE!\n\nPriscilla is also super sweet and accomodating with her helpful suggestions.\n\nHands down one of fav vegan finedining experiences - incredible service, staff and the fact that it’s all vegan is a win all around!\n\nAfter living overseas,I also love the no tip model so wages are fair for staff.\n\nCan’t wait to come back and try more! Had a very enjoyable dinner here. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. They did a great job describing each dish... and giving feedback and suggestions for what to order. We were sat at the counter by the kitchen and could watch the chefspreparing the food, which was very interesting. Each dish had very unique and distinct flavors. It\'s nice to have anotheroption other than acorn for high-end vegan food but without the unreasonable price. The no tipping policy was a fantastic changefrom the usual. Read more

What a delight to find in the area. The servers delight in explaining the meals, the food is prepared with care, the dishes in... the tasting menu reflect local and seasonal offerings. They elevate vegan such that your meat eating friends will not leavehungry. Oh and that chocolate cherry dessert lives in my taste buds. Read more

Delicious. Everything we ordered was yummy but the broccoli and potato were my favourite! The dumplings had such a wonderful... texture. Service was amazing and very friendly. Great to see an all vegan place that doesn’t serve junk food! Be aware thatthis is vegan fine dining, so if you’re looking to be full for $20, this isn’t the place for you. Read more

Folke is a one-of-a-kind gem in the heart of one of Vancouver’s most idyllic neighbourhoods!! Do yourself a favour and visit... this restaurant that is built on sustainability - both for the products carried and the people that work there. We sampled thetasting menu and every dish was exquisite. The chefs greet your table and explain each dish which helps understand their processand makes for a great and authentic dining experience. If you’re a wine enthusiast (who isn’t?), their selection of local BCwineries is a large step above the rest of Vancouver’s dining options. 10/10!! I strongly recommend opting for the tastingmenu as well! Can’t wait to return! Read more
