Staff are unorganized, although I get it was due to hiring student as staff. When I was lining up for getting 2 drink after an... order, saw multiple staff slacking beside another cashier and left other cash counter empty. Feel like bully or I dont know,dont you guys see there is line up for 4 person here? Also didnt get warn how huge the fries is, and didnt get to know it's acombo without drink. These photo with huge portion looks great but absolutely not. To be honest this is an instagram spherearea not a restaurant. Chicken is over dose with spice, and greasy enough for me to cook a steak. Not like this, Southern friedchicken should be juicy, crunchy on the better, smelling good and juicy ! The greasy of the chicken also give questionablesuspicion on the oil quality. This is so awful to be open in UBC. I only give at least 1 more star out of 1/5 because the parttimer actually listen to me and help me out. 2nd time coming to DL Chicken in the past 2 years - first at the Commercial Dr location and now this one in UBC. First time... around I thought the OG chicken sandwich was good (hot, chicken breast) was good but felt like other places were better. Thechicken seemed a tad bit dry but overall the taste was still really good. But people kept telling me DL was the best of them allso I held off the review. Maybe I missed something. This 2nd time around I got the OG hot, dark meat. The crunch was outstandingand the chicken was juicy but this time around the flavor had this tang that I couldn't put my finger on. I don't mind a littletang/sourness from the hot sauce but this seemed stronger than I prefer. Looking back it might have actually been the slaw but Idon't know. Anyways, I liked it but it's not my favorite chicken sando. Just my personal preference. So overall, it was still avery good chicken sandwich and the fries were surpisingly great - crispy but not overcooked and I actually like the seasoningthey put on it. I don't see as many reviews giving it enough love. I'd give DL 4.5 stars if I could. Read more
One of the top chicken sandhwichs I have had. The location has lots of seating indoor and out. The service was good and would... definitely repeat. Prices are on the higher end but the food is good quality. Read more
