Reviews for Connie's Cook House in Vancouver, BC
Good amount of food, tasty and accessible prices. Everything was delicious but the siumai pork dumplings were ok. The dishes... arrived fast. I will definitely go back! Read more
Warm friendly host, took the time to chat to us. 1st time to eat here with my wife and daughter. Gave us some useful tips on... Vancouver. The Singapore fried noodles could be the best we?ve had. Large serving, great value. Close on Tuesdays. Read more
Took a chance despite negative reviews and glad we did! Ordered Singaporean fried rice noodles and Shanghai noodles and asked... for less oil in the order and they accommodated (Chinese takeout doesn't have to be greasy !) . Great portions too for only10.95 with soups. Quite a deal especially nowadays with crazy inflation. Love to support small business and will definitelyreturn! Read more
Pretty decent Chinese food spot; staff was helpful & courteous. Food came out in good time & piping hot. The xiao long bao was... really really good, albeit a bit small from what I?m used to. I didn?t particularly care for the gailan but it was also my firsttime trying it. Great portion sizing for the price though. Read more

Over the years, many restaurants have closed in our area, in the process we lost our go-to chinese spots. Having a craving for... this, we decided to try Connie's Cook House, a place that we had overlooked. After checking their hours on their website, wetried to make a reservation for dinner, but their system did not work properly, essentially had to phone them as soon as theyopened to confirm we had a table. The lady that answered the phone was very diligent and kindly reserved a table for us. We werethere early, and didn't need to worry, we had the whole place for ourselves. The same lady that had answered the phone broughtthe menus and took our order, all with a smile. We proceeded to order a few dishes: vegetarian hot & sour soup and also wontonsoup, egg foo-yong with shrimp, diced chicken with cashew nuts, braised tofu with vegetables chow mein and young chow friedrice. All dishes served in generous portions, and over all they all met our expectations. We were looking for no-frills, chinesecomfort food, and that's exactly what we got. This and their reasonable prices is the reason why this establishment has beenlocated for so many years on W4th. Would definitely be back to try other dishes. As mentioned, the service was friendly anddiligent. Bring your face mask, but otherwise plenty of space to be safe. They offer take out as well, if that's yourpreference. Read more
I used to work around here and I used to go here for lunch very often. They have varieties of lunch special selections with all... kinds of meat. Most combos include individual soup and steamed white rice. Chowmein combo does not come with rice, only soup(wonton, hot & sour). Lately, after more than a decade, I visited the place and nothing much changed. I am surprised theirprices are still very low despite of everything else going up. Under $15 is awesome for a combo seafood in the west end part ofVancouver. My favourite is the cod-fillet in black bean sauce for $12.95. Right? Did I mention this place is in the west end? Also the workers are always nice, to me anyway. Free parking is rare. Pay parking available. I always visit here when I amaround the area. And I will be in the area today. Read more
